Blogger’s Challenge 60 - Birthday Card

Published by Connie at 9:57 am under Cards

This challenge came in handy because we are celebrating my niece and nephew’s birthdays this weekend.  They were born one year and one week apart!  So what to get pre-teens?  Gift cards, of course!  So…those will be tucked inside these cards.  I hope they don’t feel they are too juvenile…I think this set is so sweet for kids.

I’m trying to use up my previous catalog designer papers, so I pulled out one of my favorites…Jersey Shore.  I think the colors in this are so cheery!  I also did the Bandanna Technique from the current Technique Junkies Newsletter issue, and used a sketch from SCS (thanks, Nancy for the idea!)  Canton…we’ll be doing this technique next week!  I used the Flower circle stamp and the star stamp from Wanted to start the Bandanna Technique.

Colors used are previous In-color Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue.  I used my ink pads and the AquaPainter to color the images.  No embellishments except for a mini brad in the space ship.  As colorful as the papers were, I didn’t think they needed it.

I’m off to check out the other Bloggers today.  Don’t forget to order my August Card Kit…last day is today!

I’m going to have fun playing with my new Big Shot and catalog items today while I get ready for my Stamp Camp tomorrow!
