Funny story about making this card. I took all the pieces with me when I had to do a 2 hour glucose test at my doctor’s office. While I was waiting for results, I grabbed the table in the waiting room and spread out. I had several people stop by and comment on them…wondering why I was working on Christmas cards in August! I gave my card out to a couple people…would be fun to get a new customer from that experience!

Connie, I loved your story about working on these cards while you were doing a 2 hr GTT...I also tend to take projects with me when I know I'll be there a while. In June I went home to Ohio (am currently near STL) while my Dad had a major surgical procedure at one of the top Columbus, OH hospitals. While there I worked on several convention swaps including a Christmas card swap. I was sitting in an alcove so I could watch TV while I worked and had my back to the crowd...but naturally, some of the folks walking past behind me must have noticed. There was a group of ladies who all stopped and mentioned that I must be VERY organized to be working on Christmas cards already in June. lol! If only they knew!!! One of them recognized Stampin' UP! so I explained to them that I was doing these for a swap or card trade at a convention I would be going to in July. One of the women said, "oh, "so and so" knows someone who does Stampin' UP!" so I told them, "you would make her day if you called her up and asked for a Christmas card class!" Maybe it was you??? No idea but it's funny how stamping in public does attract a lot of attention.

And yes, not only did I finish the 25 cards for my swap but I also finished up key components of several other swaps. If not for spending that week at the hospital, I would probably not have finished most of my convention swaps! ;-) Jan
