Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Catalog Set

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Favorite New Catalog Set” for their cards this week.  I wonder if it will be as difficult for the rest of the Design Team to choose just ONE set!  I love a LOT of the new stamp sets in the catalog!  But, I narrowed my selection down to Coffee Cafe.  Really…it was the first set in the new catalog that I knew I just HAD to have, even though I have every other coffee set that Stampin’ Up! has ever made!  lol!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is placed on top.
  • The Coffee Break DSP piece is cut to 1-1/4 x 4 and added across the front.
  • Three different sized Stitched Shape circles were cut from Old Olive, Pool Party and the coffee bean pattern in Coffee Break DSP, then adhered to the front.
  • The large Coffee Cup image was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake, then the greeting stamped inside with Early Espresso Ink.  It was cut with the Coffee Cups Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The lid was cut from Whisper White and the stopper heart was cut from Berry Blast cardstock and tucked on the lid.  It was added to the top of the coffee cup with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front of the card.
  • The little hearts were stamped with Berry Blast Ink randomly and a few scattered rhinestones were added for a little sparkle.

OK…check out what the rest of the Design Team and their Favorite New Catalog Stamp Set cards by taking our Saturday Blog Hop! CCMC465 Oh So Eclectic

It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  We have a fun color challenge using one of the new In Colors for you to try this week!

Oh So Eclectic has some random shapes and images in the Bundle, but I love the star shaped cutout thinlit.  I decided to further cut it out from the surrounding cardstock and use it as a little accent on my card.

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The diamond shape background accent piece was cut from Night of Navy cardstock and added to the front.
  • The little flower image from Oh So Eclectic was stamped several times with Tranquil Tide Ink in the background on a diagonal.
  • The two flowers were stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Peekaboo Peach, then cut with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  The centers were sponged with Peekaboo Peach Ink for a little shading.  They were popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three leaves were stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink and cut with the Thinlits, then tucked and adhered under the flowers.
  • A bow was made from Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon and added with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The Missing You greeting from Oh So Eclectic was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on scrap Whisper White, trimmed and tucked under the flower on the front.

I love this little bouquet of flowers!  Check out the fun with the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary this week! Then play along!  And…we are now taking signups for our JULY MINI SESSION!  Don’t miss out!

Saturday Blog Hop – Patriotic Colors

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Patriotic Colors” for their cards this week.  The summer is SPEEDING by…I can’t believe we will be in our new home almost a month!  And, the 4th of July is already next week!  WOW!

This card came together REALLY quickly!  I already had the Wood Textures Designer Paper on my desk, so I pulled out one of the white-washed looking sheets for my background.  Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The Wood Textures DSP is cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and layered on the base card.
  • The Daisies were punched from Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy cardstock.
  • The daisy centers were stamped tone-on-tone with Real Red, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy Inks.
  • Some large Clear Faceted Gems were added to each of the centers, then the daisies placed across the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thank you from Daisy Delight stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink along the bottom right corner.

Yep…that’s it!!!  Super simple, but love the patriotic look!  OK…check out what the rest of the Design Team and their Patriotic cards by taking our Saturday Blog Hop! Next up is our Create with Connie and Mary website to find out more about signing up for our NEW July Mini Session, then onto Mary Brown, or go backwards to visit Melissa Davies!

CCMC464 Coffee Cafe

It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  It’s the last of our “Case the Catalog” challenges this month!  These have been fun…we’ll definitely be doing them again, I’m sure!  This time we could pick the layout from ANY of the cards in this selection!

I couldn’t wait to order the Coffee Cafe Bundle in the new Annual Catalog…of course, I’m a BIG Starbucks lover!  But, I really LOVE the old-fashioned coffee pots printed in the Designer Paper!  I picked the bottom right layout for my 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 square card.

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top of the base card, two 1/2 x 4-1/4 strips of the green stripe Coffee Break DSP were added to the back of a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of the chevron pattern in Coffee Break DSP, then added to the front.
  • The greeting from Coffee Cafe Stamp Set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White, then punched with the 2″ Circle Punch.  It was layered on the Starburst Circle punched from Garden Green cardstock.
  • Some Linen Thread was doubled up and tied in a bow, then added to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot.  The circle was popped on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The green coffee pot and cup were hand-cut from the Coffee Break DSP, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three of the coffee beans were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White, then hand cut and added to the front.

SUPER simple using the layout!  And I think, lots of FUN!  Check out the fun with the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary this week!  Then play along!

Saturday Blog Hop – Black & White

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Black & White” designs for their cards this week.  With all the beautiful colors of ink and paper that Stampin’ Up! has, it is sometimes nice to go with a sophisticated black and white look…although I think mine turned out more whimsical than sophisticated!  lol!

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was embossed with the new Garden Trellis embossing folder across the top portion.
  • A 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the Whisper White, then Black Baker’s Twine wrapped around several times and tied in a bow.
  • The trio of pens and crafting everyday greeting from Crafting Forever were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a 2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock and layered on 2-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic Black cardstock.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC463 Colorful Seasons

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a Case the Catalog challenge again this week!

For my “case the catalog”, I chose to use the layout again this week…along with the delightful Colorful Seasons stamp set.  There are just SO many things you can do with this one set!  But I especially LOVE the large “just breathe” stamp!  Again, so many uses for it…cheer someone up, or just because!  This card I think is much prettier than it photographed, too!

Here are the details:

  • The base  is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Soft Sky, placed slightly on an angle.
  • Next is a 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Paper on an angle.
  • A strip of Navy Gingham Ribbon goes across the front and is secured in the back of the Soft Sky layer.
  • Just breathe was stamped with Night of Navy ink on a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White, then angled on the front of the card.
  • The large leaf was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and the small leave was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink on Whisper White, both were cut with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finally, a few small Rhinestones were scattered on the front for a little bit of bling!

LOVE how it turned out!  Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary! And while you are there…don’t forget to sign up for our JUNE MINI SESSION that just started!

CCMC462 – Pocketful of Sunshine

Edit:  OK…who noticed I had the wrong name in the title of my blog????  lol!

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a Case the Catalog challenge again this week!  I have to admit…my new catalog order sat here for TWO WHOLE DAYS before I opened it!  I know!  Just too many distractions around the house.  But, I finally got to play with some new stuff!

For my “case the catalog”, I chose to use the layout again this week.  It turned out pretty fun using the new Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3 x 4-3/4 panel of Soft Sky cardstock was added on top.
  • Next a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Coffee Break Designer Paper was cut with a flag end.  Some White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around it and tied in a bow, then added to the front.
  • To make the “denim” color, I used some Marina Mist cardstock and ran my Night of Navy Ink Pad over top in both directions.  Have to do it lightly or you’ll get a blob of color when it sticks to the cardstock!  lol!
  • I stamped the pocket sewing and detail with Early Espresso Ink and cut the pocket from the “denim” with the Pocket Framelit.   I folded on the score lines and added it to the front.
  • Two circle Gold Metallic Enamel Dots topped the corners.
  • The money was stamped with Garden Green Ink on Old Olive cardstock and cut with the Framelit.  The tab was cut from Early Espresso cardstock and added under the pocket.
  • It’s Your Day from Big On Birthdays was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Soft Sky cardstock, then cut.  The coordinating Coffee Break DSP was also cut the same way.  Both were adhered to the pocket.

That’s it! Pretty simple! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary! And while you are there…don’t forget to sign up for our JUNE MINI SESSION that just started!

Daisy Delight

I used the wonderful Daisy Delight Bundle for my card today.  Along with me, everyone else must have loved it because it is currently out-of-stock at Stampin’ Up!  But, hopefully my customers will be able to order it soon!

I followed along with the sketch challenge this week on Freshly Made Sketches FMS291.  Loved the simple design!  It has been SOOOOOO long since I played along, but I do get their email every week, so not sure what my excuse is!  lol!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The Delightful Daisy DSP was cut into two pieces, 1 x 3-1/4 and 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 and adhered to the front with a little space as shown in the sketch.
  • The daisy from Daisy Delight was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock (twice), then watercolored with a little Flirty Flamingo Ink over top.  Both were punched with the Daisy Punch.
  • The center was stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink on Whisper White and hand cut out.  They were adhered together and added to the front of the card with stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The “hello” greeting from Eastern Beauty stamp set was stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink below the DSP.

That’s it!!!  Super simple…with being so disorganized from the move, simple is about the most I can do!  lol!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New In Color

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Our Favorite New In Color” this week.  Hands down…my favorite new In Color is Lemon Lime Twist!!!  I love the neon greens!  In fact, I still have Kiwi Kiss and Lucky Limeade in my collection!  So, I was VERY happy to see our new Lemon Lime Twist color!

My dad’s 80th birthday was on June 2nd, so I made this card for him (and lost it for a while in the move!)  I thought I was going to have to recreate it.  But, then we finally found my box of finished cards…whew!  Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White was embossed with the Oh My Stars embossing folder.
  • A length of Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven Ribbon was wrapped to the back and adhered.
  • The Whisper White layer was added to a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic Black for a nice border.  Then added to the base card.
  • The number 80 was cut with the Layered Numbers Framelits from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals right above the ribbon.
  • The dotted balloon was stamped twice with Lucky Lime Twist on Whisper White and the Hooray with Memento Black Ink, then punched with the Balloon Builder Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The strings were hand-drawn with the Basic Black Marker (wished I would have used the fine tip!!!)
  • Another bit of Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon was tied in a knot, then cut and added as a bow on the strings.

That’s it!  Love how easy it is to personalize our cards for someone very special!  OK…check out what the rest of the Design Team and their Favorite In Color cards by taking our Saturday Blog Hop!

CCMC461 Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

Yeah!!!  My FIRST card created in my new home!  Wow…it has been a process, for sure!  My poor husband has about worn himself out helping me find things buried in the basement!  But, I’ve finally found enough stuff that I can make cards again!  lol!  Still need to order my cabinets, they will take 8 weeks to get installed…and that is on an expedited schedule!

But, it’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge!  It’s a Case the Catalog challenge again this week!

I chose to use the layout as my inspiration this week!  The new Powder Pink In Color is so soft and pretty!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Powder Pink, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The open scroll flower from Happy Birthday Gorgeous was stamped with Powder Pink Ink randomly in the background.  I also used the speckles from Timeless Texture stamp set.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Powder Pink Fresh Florals was added to the front, with a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Fresh Fig Cardstock partially behind it.  A 1/4 x 5 strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper was placed across the front.
  • It’s Your Day from Happy Birthday Gorgeous was stamped with Fresh Fig Ink on Whisper White and punched with the new Pretty Label Punch.
  • Another flower was stamped with Powder Pink Ink on Powder Pink cardstock, then cut out.  Two leaves were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut out.  They were added to the front of the label.

That’s it!  Pretty simple!  Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!  And while you are there…don’t forget to sign up for our JUNE MINI SESSION that is starting soon!
