Bloomin’ Bouquet & Dolled Up Birthday Kits

OK, I'm late out of the gate in posting about a couple AWESOME kits!  HURRY and order yours today as they are only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!  Click on my online ordering button below, or email me if you are local to save a little on shipping!

Another couple photos from Fiji.  We caught them setting up for our Stampin' Up! dinner buffet (which was WONDERFUL!)  Lots of prep work!

Lorri Heiling took the closeup of the table in this next photo!  For some reason, my flash didn't work and it turned out really dark.  Thanks, Lorri!

NEW Bloomin' Bouquet Kit

Stampin' Up!'s NEW Bloomin' Bouquet Project Kit is now available, while supplies last!

Thank you.  Teacher appreciation. Just because. Say thank you with this no-maintenance bouquet. This easy-to-assemble kit comes complete with the petals, stems, and buttons to create the flowers, as well as four different tags to make this the perfect gift for any occasion. All you need is some paper, ribbon or a vase to add the finishing touches to the bouquet.

As if that weren't enough, the kit contains a "baker's dozen"! This means you can create and give (or keep) a dozen flowers, and have a bonus flower left over to pass along to someone new! Give it to someone you wouldn't normally think of: a teller at the bank, a grocery store clerk, or the librarian at your local library. Anyone you encounter on your way that you'd like to give a little "thank you" to.

See the video on how easy it is to put together the Bloomin' Bouquet project kit.

Moving Forward

It is getting to that time of year.  The retired list will be coming out soon and the NEW CATALOG will show up right after!  Yeah!  I'm always ready for a new catalog at this time of year!  But, I start to think of all the sets that will retire, and wanting to use them before they go away!  Here is a fun one…Moving Forward…and it is also the Ronald McDonald House Charities set this year!  Stampin' Up! donates $3 to RMHC for every stamp set purchase.  SO…you get cute stamp images AND help the RMHC!

I'm loving the Sent with Love Designer Paper (only available thru the end of April!).  I used the same Pool Party and Real Red colors that I used on my Create with Connie and Mary Stippled Blossoms challenge card last week (see it here), but got a TOTALLY different look!

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 of Real Red folded in half.
  2. I used a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White for the next layer.
  3. The striped paper was cut 3/4 x 4 and placed three on the front of the Whisper White.
  4. I added a 1 1/2 x 5 piece of Sent with Love Designer Paper over top of the stripes and cut the bottom with a flag end.  I wrapped some White Bakers Twine around and tied a bow.
  5. The boat from Moving Forward was stamped with Real Red on Whisper White 2" Circle, then stamped it again on the Sent with Love Designer Paper and cut out the sail.  I stamped a third time with Pool Party on scrap Whisper White, then cut out the top rail of the boat to layer over the Real Red one.
  6. I layered the circle on a 2 1/4" Circle of Real Red and popped it up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. Welcome Baby from Petite Pairs was stamped with Real Red on the front.
  8. I added a little bling with a Rhinestone Jewel at the top of the mast.

OK…I think it is cute, what about you???  Better grab and set and paper before they go away!  You KNOW you want it!!!

#126322 (Clear) $14.95
#126320 (Wood) $19.95

For the Birds

Wow!  I'm sure you've all heard the NEWS by now!  New COLOR REFRESH and FREE SHIPPING on ANYTHING in the main and Spring catalogs from April 6-8, 2013!  Make sure you order the RETIRING colors before they go away…cardstock, ink refills, and any accessories are while supplies last!  You can email me (I'll have orders going in each day), or order online yourself!

But, I am excited that some of our "older" In Colors are coming back into the regular line!  AND…we are finally getting a new light shade of gray to replace Going Grey that went away several years ago!  Seeing these fresh new colors makes me anxious to see the NEW In colors!  Only a couple more weeks!

Today I'm sharing a card I actually did a while ago for one of the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenges…but I switched it out to another card with a holiday theme and never used this one!  For the Birds is one of the stamp sets that I featured in the new Card "Create"tions for All Occasions!  So, this is like a BONUS card for you if you've joined already!  If not…why not???  See all the details of what you'll get below!

I think this is PERFECT for spring…the birds are certainly chirping around here…and those mama robins are SOOOO fat!  lol!  Today's CASology Card Challenge is the keyword UP!  I think the message here is uplifting support, don't you?

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Lucky Limeade cardstock, folded in half (and I'm sad they didn't keep this fun color…sniff, sniff)
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 Daffodil Delight cardstock, run thru the Big Shot with the Houndstooth folder.
  3. I cut a 1 1/2 x 5 piece of Floral District Designer Paper and layered it on a 1 3/4 x 5 piece of Lucky Limeade cardstock.  I slanted it across the front of the Daffodil Delight layer and trimmed off the excess on the sides.
  4. I wrapped the White Taffeta Ribbon around on the front and tied a bow, then adhered that element to the front of the card base.
  5. I stamped the For the Birds image with Black Stazon on Whisper White, then cut with the Labels Framelits.  I watercolored with my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write Markers in Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Lucky Limeade.
  6. I layered this Label on another Label Framelit of Tangerine Tango cardstock and placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. Finally, I punched the Boho Blossom Punch with Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White, layered the sizes together and added a Lucky Limeade Polka Dot Brad to the center and attached to the front of the card.

I love it…so cheerful and uplifting!  Would definitely cheer someone UP to receive this in the mail, right?

Patterned Occasions & 1 Day Left!

Oh no!  Sale-a-Bration ENDS today!!!  Can you believe it is over already?  That time went FAST!  Make sure you EMAIL ME with any last minute orders!  My 40% off Stampin' Up! Adhesive Sale also ends today…see more details at the bottom of this post!

I wanted to have a chance to use this Patterned Occasions set again before it retires!  I didn't get to use it NEAR enough, and I love the little teacup and jeans in it, especially!  I don't even think I featured it in any of my classes!

Here's a quick CAS I put together this morning using my favorite teacup!  I used a sketch we featured in the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Occasions Edition as my starting point!  Here are the details:

  1. Base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White folded in half.
  2. Another layer of Whisper White 5 x 3 3/4, added to the base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  3. A strip of Sycamore Street Designer Paper (a Sale-a-Bration option!) 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 with rounded corners on the left.
  4. A strip of 1/2 x 5 Basic Black cardstock on top of it.
  5. Cut an Oval Framelit second from smallest of Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
  6. Stamp the Teacup image from Patterned Occasions (another Sale-a-Bration option!) on scrap Whisper White and punch with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, added to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. I colored one of the Rhinestones with my Black Sharpie Pen and added it to the teacup.
  8. Finally, I stamped "Whole Latte Love" with Black Stazon on 1/2" strip of Whisper White, cut the flag end and tucked it under the circle.

Like it???  I really do!  Remember, today is the last day to get this set, the DSP  or ANY of the Sale-A-Bration products with your $50 order!

Oh Hello Easter Card

I showed an Easter Egg card earlier using this Oh Hello set…SEE IT HERE…here is the one that was actually the prototype.  I did this for a large Set Sampler meeting we did at the end of December.  I've kept this card under wraps thinking I may use it for a class…but it is really getting too close to Easter now, so thought I'd share it.  Normally, I would have used an Easter greeting, but I wanted to keep the supplies to only one set, so used one of the greetings in Oh Hello.

Here are the details:

  1. The base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of So Saffron, folded in half.
  2. A Whisper White layer of 4 x 5 1/4 is embossed with the Honeycomb Folder and added to the front.
  3. I stamped the zig zag Oval image from Oh Hello stamp set in Pink Pirouette on scrap Whisper White and cut it out with the Oval Framelits.  I then cut a zig zag across the midpoint and hinged it with a Mini Brad.
  4. I cut a 1 x 5 1/4 strip of Pink Pirouette cardstock and stamped Thanks So Much in Raspberry Ripple ink on front, then cut a flag end.  It is adhered to the front.  Then adhered the egg with Stampin' Dimensionals over it.
  5. I cut the "chick" with the bird punch (only the top half) out of So Saffron cardstock and tucked it inside the "shell".  I added a Pearl eye and colored the beak Pumpkin Pie with my marker.
  6. Finally, I added a little flower using So Saffron and Whisper White with the Boho Blossom Punch, added a Mini Brad, then adhered it on the front.

Hope you enjoy my Easter "Thank You" card!

Don't forget about my Adhesive Sale going on now…only a few more days to stock up on Snail, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip and Mono Liquid Glue!!!

By the Tide

I've really enjoyed this By the TIde stamp set.  Since it is very non-gender specific, it can be used for a variety of different people.  And, who doesn't like a reminder of the beach!!!  I know I'd love to be by the beach in warm weather right now!  The sea fan in this set is my very favorite…great in the background or as a focal element.  AND…that little seahorse is darling!  This card is one I made for the SUDSOL swap at Leadership and I don't think I ever shared on here!  I took my colors from the Twitterpated Designer Paper.

Here are the details!

  1. 4 1/4 x 11 base card of Certainly Celery, folded in half.
  2. On the 4 x 5 1/4 Basic Gray layer, add a 2 1/2 x 4 piece of striped Twitterpated Designer Paper.
  3. Wrap Old Olive Striped Ribbon around to the back and adhere to hide the seam.
  4. Stamp the Sea Fan on scrap Whisper White with Basic Gray ink and cut with the Oval Framelit.
  5. Stamp the Oceanside Inn circle and the Sea Horse with Certainly Celery and punch the 1" Circle and cut out the Sea Horse.  Add a small pearl to the eye of the Sea Horse.
  6. Adhere all to the Basic Gray layer with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhere to Certainly Celery Base Card.
  7. Stamp Thinking of You from Sassy Salutations with Basic Gray ink on the front.
