I’m BACK! After a terrific 16 days in the Mediterranean, I’m finally home! My husband and I added a few days in Barcelona before the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Mediteranean Cruise Trip, then another week after with friends Ann and Rick Lohmeyer touring the Spain and France countryside! Such an awesome experience! It was our first time to Europe andwow…my eyes were wide open taking everything in!
This photo a distant shot of La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. I have hundreds of pictures…can’t wait to start working on my Project Life album! However, I’m not going to lie…it felt GOOD to sleep in my own KING sized bed! lol!
I made a special project for some ladies I know who were also on this trip! Lots of room for photos for their memories, too! (One thing I wished I would have had to use is the new Labeler Alphabet to stamp the ports of call on the cruise on each page!)
Here’s the front, closed. I used the Envelope Punch Board to make the camera shape base. “You Brighten my Day” is from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set. Pop of Color Designer Paper was used on the outside and on the flaps inside. Melon Mambo Thick Twine holds it closed.
Here’s the back, the new Square Scalloped Framelit came in handy to cut out the Mediterranean Cruise logo I printed off the computer.
Inside the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets were perfect to hold down the flaps of the album pages.
And here is one of the pages open. The other side looked the same.
Like I said, lots of room for photos and journaling and I thought it made a pretty special little hand-made gift!

Ha…I bet you didn't even know I was gone, did you? Did you miss me? I was able to preload my cards for the week. Hope you enjoyed the Tour de Freaks and our showcase of retired products! If you missed it, scroll back to my last post and take the tour…it stays up indefinitely!
But…this is where I was last week…in Destin, Florida. LOVELY weather (except for a couple thunderstorms at night) and not too much of a crowd until Friday when people started coming in for the weekend. We used to go to Destin for every Spring Break when the kids were younger. It was nice going when it wasn't crowded and you didn't need to wait in line for dinner, or get stuck in traffic on the way!
Normally when we go, we stay in the Sandestin complex. Since we booked at the last minute, we couldn't find any one bedrooms available in Sandestin. So, we ended up staying downtown Destin and the Sundestin Condo complex. This is the view from our 12th floor condo. GORGEOUS! I could get used to that view every day! Every morning we walked along the shoreline a couple miles.
We saw a couple dolphins playing one morning…they put on quite a show! This fisherman never looked up and saw how close he was to them!
Here I am standing on the balcony looking east. The sand is SO white and soft and cool…and the water so green and blue! Beautiful part of the world!
Hope you enjoyed the peak into my vacation! Now back to the REAL world and my stamping business! I have a LOT going on over the next few weeks and have depleted my stockpile of cards to show on my blog! Better get working, huh? lol!
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU EMAILED ME ABOUT MY RETIRED STAMP SETS FOR SALE AND HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ME, YOUR EMAIL WAS PROBABLY LOST. OUR SERVICE THIS WEEKEND WAS VERY SPOTTY. PLEASE SEND ME ANOTHER ONE. HERE IS AN UPDATED LIST:
Did you wonder where I've been? Every spring and fall I attend a long weekend stamping/scrapbooking retreat. Many of the same ladies come year after year and we've gotten to be good friends and enjoy catching up on what has happened over the previous months…weddings, new babies, new jobs…just LIFE in general! Here is a group shot of us. LOTS of creative talent in this group. We spend all four days, three nights working on whatever projects we like.
I did get a lot done and will be posting my creations over the next few weeks. Today I need to catch up and get my Alabama buddy to the airport to go back home. I've enjoyed my visit with Linda SO much!
