Falling Leaves
This card uses Stampin’ Up!’s Falling Leaves stamp set. It is heavily inspired by a card I saw by (I think) Lynn Put. My Stamp Club made this last month for one of their projects.
The base card is Always Artichoke with a layer of More Mustard on top. I randomly stamped the leaf images with More Mustard over the background. I used a strip of Autumn Traditions Designer Paper (love those pinecones) and layered it on Always Artichoke. The inside medallion was stamped on Naturals cardstock, punched with the 1 1/4 circle, layered on a More Mustard 1 3/8 circle, then on a Scallop Oval. I added two gold brads on the side. I love that look! I used the Paper Piercing tool on the top and bottom. Finally, I added the greeting in Soft Suede ink at the bottom.

Bloggers Challenge – Thinking of You
Happy Friday! I’m headed off this afternoon to attend the Cincinnati Regionals tomorrow! Woohoo!!! So excited…it is like a mini Convention! I’ll be catching up with several people I normally only see at Convention or Leadership, so that will be fun!
Today’s Bloggers’ Challenge is to create a Thinking of You card. I seem to use a lot of this type of card. I wanted to use one of the new fall sets in the Holiday Mini called Autumn Splendor. The leaves have a beautiful fine drawing which makes it perfect for coloring, embossing or just stamping in colors. I have seen some gorgeous cards done with this set!
I also used the coordinating fall designer paper in the big catalog, called Autumn Traditions. These are definitely MY colors! I love the Earth Elements color family! The base is More Mustard and I placed a layer of Soft Suede cardstock on top of that. Then I punched 1 1/4 squares from the Designer Paper and placed them like tiles in the background. I stamped the leaf with Versamark on More Mustard and the acorns on Soft Suede, embossed them with Gold Embossing Powder, then cut them out. Thinking of You is from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. I cut out the tag from the Matchbox XL Bigz Die with my Big Shot and More Mustard cardstock, then stamped the words in Basic Brown and sponged the edges. I really like how this turned out!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend! It is supposed to be gorgeous here!

This is going to be REAL quick since I’m falling asleep in my chair! I spent the day packing and moving my son to his new apartment. I’m exhausted! I think I went up and down steps at least 50 times!
I loved this week’s Stamping 411 Sketch challenge! Here I used Autumn Harvest…it is going to be fall soon and the leaves will be turning and the pumpkins will be sprouting up on everyone’s doorsteps! This is a favorite standby set for me to use in the fall.
I started with a base of Always Artichoke. I stamped the pumpkins with Basic Brown on Very Vanilla and used my Stampin’ Up! markers and AquaPainter to color them. I layered this piece on Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the leaf image on Pumpkin Pie and Ruby Red and cut them out, placing them under the pumpkins. I put some Autumn Traditions striped Designer Paper on the Soft Suede layer, and tied some Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon around it. Finally, I stamped Thanks from the set Thank You Kindly in Basic Brown in the lower left corner.

Stamping 411 – Autumn Days
This set, Autumn Days, was one Demos could preorder. I ordered it, but then never really played with it until today’s Stamping 411 sketch challenge card!
I started with a base of Always Artichoke cardstock, then layered the print leaves pattern from Autumn Traditions Designer Paper. I added a Scallop Edge border under the top of the DSP, then some 1/4 Grosgrain Chocolate Chip ribbon to hide the seam.
I stamped the Pheasant in Basic Brown on Kraft cardstock and distressed the edges with my Cutter Kit Distressing Tool. I sponged the edges with Basic Brown ink, too. I layered it on More Mustard and did the same distressing and sponging, then layered it on a slightly larger Elegant Eggplant. I wanted to leave room on this layer for the two Very Vanilla Jumbo Brads.
I like the "rustic" feel of this card! It reminds me of growing up on the farm!
We’d love for you to play along with use. Use the sketch and post your entry to Mr. Linky on Stamping 411 website!
