Cookie Cutter Christmas

My 3-1/2 year old grandson can be a handful sometimes…so I thought I’d send a card to remind him that Santa is watching…along with his helpers!  Rudolph was Santa’s assistant this week!  PLUS…I was able to use up all the pieces of this card that I had laying on my desk!  Woohoo!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Warmth & Cheer Designer Paper was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
  • A 1/4 x 4 strip of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper was added across the seam.
  • The Stitched Shape Circle Framelit was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Rudolph was stamped with Memento Black Ink and watercolored with Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip Markers.  His nose was stamped again with Real Red Ink and hand cut.
  • The Santa hat was punched from Real Red and the brim/pompom from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.
  • Rudolph was added to the Circle, then to the front of the card.
  • Ho Ho Ho from Greetings from Santa was stamped with Cherry Cobbler Ink in the upper left corner.
  • Inside the greeting was Naughty or Nice (?)…lol!

Hope he likes it!  It’s not too late to order the supplies…click on the photos to take you to my website to order!  FYI – Stitched Shapes Framelits will be available to order in mid-January.

Cookie Cutter Christmas

I’ve mentioned before that I did several craft fairs this year.  I sold out of these Santa Nugget favors at the first one and ended up making another big batch of them.  I only have one left!  Pretty good sellers!  (You can see one of the other style I did for craft shows using the Gingerbread image here!)

Here’s a partial batch of them that I remembered to take:

A few details:

  • The Hershey Nuggets were wrapped with 1 x 3 pieces of Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper (sold out).
  • I used the 2 x 8 Cello Bags that Stampin’ Up! sells and were tied closed with the Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine.
  • Peaceful Pines tree was stamped with Always Artichoke Ink on Garden Green cardstock and cut with the Tree Framelit.
  • Santa was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and watercolored with Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry and Blushing Bride.  Wink of Stella was used on the fur and beard to make them sparkle.  He was punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  • The tray is Real Red cardstock…sorry, I didn’t keep the measurement.  The width of the Hershey nugget plus 1/2 inch on each side, scored at 1/4 and 1/2 on each side and the length about 5-1/2.

And…because I’ll be asked.  I sold them for $3 each.  You can order the products at my website by clicking on the photos below!  I appreciate it!

*****************************

I made a bunch of these little wrapped Hershey Nugget holders for craft shows over the past few weeks and sold out.  I have one more show next Saturday, so made up another batch!  Cute for the baker in the family!  The little gingerbread on a baking sheet is TOO cute!

  • I used the Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper to wrap the Hershey Nuggets and placed them in a little tray, then inside the 2″ Cello Bags.
  • The Lots of Label Framelit cut from Basic Gray makes a great little baking sheet, I scored the top and bottom to form the sides of the pan.
  • The greeting is from a retired Stampin’ Up! set, but it was a perfect fit!

Aren’t they cute?  Love how they turned out and glad they have been popular!

CCMC424 Cookie Cutter Christmas

Even though the title says Christmas, this isn’t a Christmas card for the Create with Connie and Mary Color Challenge this week!  Take a look at this combination!  At first I thought Gingerbread man with the Soft Suede, but the teddy bear caught my eye.  And, with TWO grandbabies born within 3 weeks, I do have babies on the mind!

Here’s my card…although the colors are pretty gender neutral, I’m leaning towards it being a baby boy card!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Suede folded in half.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Moroccan Designer Paper.
  • The 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 layer of Delightful Dijon cardstock is embossed with the Cable Knit folder and placed down the center.
  • The Gold Baker’s Twine (in the Holiday Catalog) is wrapped around 3 times across the front
  • A scalloped Layering Circle is cut from Whisper White and stamped with the trio of stars in Made with Love stamp set and Delightful Dijon Ink.  It is added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The teddy bear and ears were stamped with Soft Suede and the nose/mouth with Memento Black Ink and punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  The ears were cut by hand and adhered behind the head.  He is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bowtie was stamped with Emerald Envy and punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, then added a small dot of Delightful Dijon (from the punch) to the center and added with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • For Your Little One from Made with Love was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1″ scrap of Emerald Envy and tucked under the scallop circle.

Looks super cute and cuddly, doesn’t it???  OK…make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team has done over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Then grab your stamps and play along!  You can upload to any gallery or Pinterest, then link back on our Website using the Inlinkz button!

SUOC155 Cookie Cutter Christmas

OK….here’s another sneak peek of a Holiday Catalog stamp set!  Our theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Cute and Cuddly”.  I just think this sweet teddy bear in the upcoming Christmas Cookie Cutter stamp set is as cute and cuddly as you can get!  I knew immediately that I wanted to use it!  And…since grandbaby #3 is coming next week (and it’s a boy!), I needed to make this one a baby boy card!

SUOC155 Cookie Cutter Christmas

This also shows off the new Cable Knit Embossing Folder!  Since my mom knits and my mother-in-law crochets, I can’t wait to make them a stack of cards to use with their gifts!  Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mint Macaron, folded in half.
  • On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder (it is extra thick!)
  • I thought the pattern in Blooms & Bliss Designer Paper looked like a knit pattern, so cut it with the Layering Circle Framelits and adhered to one of the Scalloped Circles cut from Dapper Denim.
  • A 1 x 4 panel of Mint Macaron was stamped with the “for Baby” greeting in B.Y.O.P. with Dapper Denim ink and adhered across the front.
  • The teddy bear in Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set was stamped with White Craft Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and immediately heat embossed with White Embossing Powder, then punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  • The face was stamped with Black Stazon on top, although the eyes were a little too light because it was a slick surface.  I ended up punching circles with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch from Basic Black cardstock and adhering them over the stamped eyes, then using the retired White Gel Pen to highlight them (WHY did we get rid of those?)
  • I added the bear with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the circles and the circles to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finally, I cut the little bow tie from the same DSP and added it with a Rhinestone Jewel in the center.

That’s it!  Check over on SUO Challenges to see what the rest of the Design Team did with the cute and cuddly challenge this time!  Then come play along!
