CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Anything Goes

CreateFA15HopWelcome
It’s Saturday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week’s theme is “Christmas Anything Goes”…pretty easy, huh?  I chose Cup of Cheer for my card, today…I realized that I hadn’t used those cute greetings very much and soon I would be busy working with the new Occasions catalog and they would be left behind!

Cup of Cheer

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock folded in half.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Very Vanilla is offset to the left side of the front and adhered.
  • The Triple Banner Punch was used on strips of Home for Christmas Designer Paper sized 2 x 5 and 1-1/4 x 4-1/2, then adhered along the left side of the Very Vanilla.
  • The Real Red Pom Pom trim was stapled to the banners.
  • The small holly leaves were cut from the DSP and placed in the lower right corner for a little balance.
  • The greeting was inked with Mossy Meadow and Real Red Markers, then stamped on scrap Very Vanilla and cut with the Circle Framelits.  It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

OK…that’s it for me!  You can go backwards to check out Deb Currier’s cute card or forward to see Mary Brown’s awesome card!  Have fun!  I’m decorating the house for Christmas today!

Here are the details on how to recreate this card:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party, folded in half.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla.
  • Across the center is a 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Home for Christmas DSP, along the bottom of it is a 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Gold Metallic Cardstock.
  • The greeting was stamped first with Tuxedo Black Ink on Very Vanilla, then stamped again in Real Red and the “On his way” cut out and placed over the Tuxedo Black one with Stampin’ Dimensions.  It was cut with the 3rd from smallest Oval Framelit.
  • The Pool Party snow pattern DSP was cut with the Lots of Labels Framelit and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Oval greeting on top.
  • The Santa was hand-cut from the DSP…love that his ice skates make it look like he spelled out the greeting!
  • Finally added Home for Christmas Enamel Dots to the front for some bling!

OK…go check out the rest of the Thursday Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary and see what they created this week!

Here are the details to recreate this card:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party, folded in half.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder, then adhered to a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic Black…love how that pops!
  • A 1-1/2 x 3-7/8 strip of Watermelon Wonder cardstock is wrapped with Basic Black Satin Stitched Ribbon and adhered to the back, then added to the front of the card.
  • The doily was cut in half, then sponged with Pool Party Ink, and tucked under the bottom of the Watermelon Wonder strip.
  • Cup of Cheer image was stamped with Watermelon Wonder Ink, the steam color was removed with a Blender Pen, the colored with Pool Party Marker…and stamped on scrap Whisper White, it is punched with the 2-1/2 Circle Punch.  The liquid in the cup and the word cheer was also colored with the Pool Party Marker.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finally, a wood Snowflake Element was added to the front with a Rhinestone Jewel in the center.

I really like how this turned out!  Hope you enjoy it, too!  Make sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team did this week…lots of inspiration for you!  Then grab your stamps and play along!
