Daisies #2 Bigz Die
The Design Team challenge this week over at Late Night Stampers is to use our Big Shot! Well…not a hardship for me at all. I find it hard NOT to use my Big Shot on every project!
Here is one card that I think packs a lot of WOW! I love the dramatic look of the Melon Mambo on Basic Black. Since I took the picture, I did finish off the inside with a layer of Whisper White so it can be used.
The base card is Basic Black and I used the reverse Whisper White cardstock from the Swirly Strip die. I almost like the reverse better than the actual Swirly cut! In the natural curve of the Swirly area, I used the Daisies #2 Bigz Die and cut one set of Melon Mambo cardstock flowers. I put them together with a little adhesive, then used the large pink button from Sherbet Designer Buttons. I cut a very thin strip of Basic Black cardstock and tied it in the center of the button, it is secured to the center of the Daisies with a Pop Dot. Finally, the extra center circles from the flowers were laying on my table, I picked them up and placed them in the vacant spot on the card. I think they look very random and chic there! lol!
So…have all my Daisies #2 Die designs convinced you to purchase that Die yet? Come on! What are you waiting for? Order it today! lol!

Daisies Die again
EDIT: Sorry! I submitted something similar to a contest and need to remove this.
OK…I promise…this is the last one using Daisies #2 die for a while. I wanted to show the other card I made with the same color scheme, just using the different sized flowers on the Daisies Die. I also added a little bit of Chocolate Chip along with the Pixie Pink on the So Saffron petals.
I used the same colors and similar layout…even the same textured background using Kit #4. But, I added a white square behind the flower and I turned the petals out on this flower…makes them look very ruffled. I also moved the 1/2 circle dots to the bottom right, instead of along the side.
Again, I didn’t put in a greeting. I’ll add something when I need it.
So…which one do you like better???
I’m hoping to get a LOT done today! I have a completely free day for stamping. Tomorrow I’ll need to start meal planning and cleaning for Easter dinner, but today is STAMPING! lol!
I hope to get my new Card Kit posted tomorrow!

Bloggers’ Challenge – Tempting Templates
This week our challenge was to use a template or diecut to create our project. It just happened that this was the project my Stamp Clubs made this week! I think it is so sweet! I am absolutely in LOVE with the Daisies #2 die which is funny because I’ve had it several months and never opened it until earlier this month! And, of course, the topper is the famous Top Note die. If you don’t have this die, you really NEED it AND the Big Shot! I cannot believe how much I’ve used my Big Shot since I got it…and it accepts ALL dies!
This is a cute little candy treat holder, too. Pretty quick to put together. I love to make 3D items…I almost wish I was working outside my home, so I could make them for my coworkers! I do think I’ll make them up for Easter table favors…wouldn’t they look cute sitting on the plate at the table?
To start, I used a 3 1/2 x 11 inch piece of So Saffron cardstock and scored it at 4 1/2 and 6 1/2. I cut a piece of stripe Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dots designer paper to 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 to cover the front. I added some candy to a small cello bag, folded over the top slightly and stapled it to the top of the back side of the sleeve.
For the topper, I cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 of the blue Delicate Dots Designer Paper and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Top Note die. I folded the Top Note in half. I stamped "A Yummy for your Tummy" (one of the Sale-A-Bration sets) in black ink on the back side of the Top Note (can’t see it here), then adhered the back side of the Top Note to the back side of the sleeve.
For the daisies, I ran 2 pieces of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot (I did them separately since the cutting has so many edges on this die) using the Daisies #2 die. Since the die has three sizes of Daisies, I staggered the two pieces of each size together to get a fuller flower…just used a little bit of adhesive in the center to keep them together. I placed a Summer Sun Corduroy button brad in the center…it gives it so much texture it almost looks real! I used my fingernails to make the petals curl slightly. I attached this corduroy button brad to the front side of the Top Note. The front of the Top Note folds over the front of the sleeve to keep it closed…no adhesive necessary!
So…do you like? I know my Club members loved it last night! I can’t wait to see what the other Bloggers have done this week!
