Owl Fancy Favor Boxes
Hi everyone!
It's my turn to do my Thrifty 3D Wednesday over on Stamping 411. This month I decided to create some little owls! Made with the Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die, they are VERY easy to assemble! Wouldn't they look cute holding a graduation or Father's Day gift? Or…party favors for the person who loves owls? Or…even for packaging up some yummies as a teacher thank you! Lots of ideas for them!

I have a full step-by-step picture tutorial on how to make these over on Stamping 411 today! Stop by and take a look. Let me know if you decide to make some of your own….I'd love to see them!

The body is the Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die in either Basic Black or Whisper White. The top is a 3 1/4" square scored diagonally. I added eyes with punched circles of Daffodil Delight and Basic Black and the beak in Daffodil Delight or Basic Black. The box is held closed with Mini Brads in Black or White, then the tip on the back is held with temporary adhesive or velcro dot to keep it flat.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Sharing creativity one stamped image at a time!
Beary Best Friends crayon caddy
Wow…I’m late today! Still catching up from vacation, and prepping for a class tonight. That’s almost done…just need to clean up my studio now! lol!
Here is a little tote bag I made up for the craft fair a couple weeks ago, using the Beary Best Friends stamp set and the Stampin’ Up! Fancy Favor BIgz Die Box! This Crayon Caddy is not my original idea…I’ve seen a couple versions in different places. In addition to the 8 little cards on the ring to color, they can also color the front of the box! It would make a nice church activity box, I think!
I don’t have a picture of them all together…but they were nice and colorful because I used primary colors to make them. This one is Brilliant Blue and Yo Yo Yellow. The handle is secured to the sides of the Favor Box with Mini Brads. The Fancy Favor Box holds the package of 24 crayons and ring of cardstock images perfectly!
Got to get back to work…have a great day!
EDIT: I’ve had so many people asking, I’ll just put it on here. I priced them originally at $4.95, but reduced them to $3.95 and they sold much better. My only costs were the crayons (25 cents), binder ring, cardstock and a couple mini brads. They did get lots of attention because they were so colorful and little girls (7-12) picked them up a lot!
I have a couple left if anyone wants them! lol!
Supplies:

Accessories: Fancy Favor BIgz XL Die (115965), Organza Stripe White Ribbon (114319), Silver Mini Brads (104336)
Medallion Fancy Favor Box
At my Stamp Club meetings, we always do two cards and a 3D item. This was the 3D item I chose to show them this month! I LOVE how it turned out! The Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die is so versatile! This can be a box (like I’ve shown), or you could use the creases on the side to turn it into a bag. You can add a handle made from ribbon or pattern paper, or leave it without. I love the scallop along the top edge!
I originally purchased it because I thought it would be great to fill it with something and sell items at the Craft Fairs I do in the fall. But, I’m also thinking that it would be a perfect party favor holder for my son’s wedding next year!
The background uses one of my favorite stamps this catalog…the Medallion Background Stamp! I stamped randomly on the Bashful Blue with White Craft Ink. (Tip: It is best to stamp before you crease all the score marks!) I then used the new Snowflake Punch to punch out snowflakes from Whisper White and my Whisper White Faux Diamond Dust paper (I mentioned in a previous post!) Sweet Treats is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (another favorite stamp set this catalog!) and punched with the Small Oval punch, then a Large Oval Punch in Bashful Blue and finally a Night of Navy Scallop Oval Punch are all layered together. The Silver Jumbo brad I dipped in Versamark, then Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and heat set to give it some sparkle. I didn’t photograph the back, but there are two randomly placed punched snowflakes on the back!
As you can see, I didn’t put a handle on this, but you easily could add one!
I’m in panic mode getting ready for Convention! I actually did get a LOT done over the weekend…I had a stiff neck to prove it! Today I am setting aside to PACK and get my Blog posts ready for the week! Woohoo!
