Happy Valentine’s Day!

Woohoo!  I did have good news when I got home yesterday.  One of my Love You Much cards (posted HERE)
made it to Stampers Showcase!  Stampers Showcase is on the demonstrator side of Stampin’ Up!’s website and a wonderful resource for demos to find cards they can use in their workshops.  This card was one that I made for the Control Freaks swap.

I didn’t get many Valentine cards made to send out this year, although I did send a few.  The prototype for this card was a Shoebox Swap that I made for an upline meeting in December.  I still have a lot of Georgia Peach left from an earlier class I did, so I decided to use up some of the checked designer paper.  I love the colors in this paper and thought they’d make a great Valentine’s card!

I started with a base of So Saffron and added a strip of the stripe DSP inside along the bottom.  Then I used a layer of Regal Rose on the front and a strip of the checked DSP on the front.  I stamped Love You Much in Regal Rose on Whisper White and added a Saffron mini brad in the center of the flower and layered it onto So Saffron.  I stamped the hearts with Regal Rose on Pretty in Pink and punched with the Heart to Heart punch…the small one went in the center of the O.  I added a strip of Old Olive and pierced a row of holes down the center leading to the other punched hearts on the right.

Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!  I had an awesome time visiting my friends and teaching a couple classes over the past couple days.  Wish I got to see them more.

Set:  Love You Much

Other:  Piercing tool, Heart to Heart punch, Saffron mini brad

Flight of the Butterfly 2

OK…I saw that my friends Mary and Lisa did a challenge tonight to make this sweet little box…I’m getting in on the action by making my own little box.  The original design came from Jane Matsumoto.

Can you guess what it is made from?  The new Big Shot Scallop Envelope BIGZ Die!  Isn’t it CUTE?  Since I had my Hawaii Papaya Designer Paper out from making some Pillow Boxes, I used it to decorate the box, too.  The base Scallop Envelopes are made from Tangerine Tango, then decorated with the Hawaii Papaya and Tangerine Tango striped ribbon.  I stamped the flower butterfly with Tangerine Tango, too, then outlined with Chocolate Chip ink.  The Butterfly is curled with a dimensional behind him so it looks like he just landed for a short visit!

Now, if you don’t have the Big Shot yet, what are you waiting for?

Order the Big Shot Starter Kit from me ONLINE (click the Shop Now button on my demonstrator website) and get a FREE $4.95 die, PLUS Level 1 hostess set and $20 in hostess credits!  As a BONUS, I’ll also prepare 5 original project tutorials for you using the dies that come in your Starter Kit!

Convention Swap

ONLINE ORDERING IS HERE!!!  Woohoo!  Stampin’ Up! has just implemented another great feature for demonstrators.  Now you can go to my Website and click on the Shop Now button (upper right corner) and place an order any time day or night.  Or, I do have a button on the left hand side of this Blog!  I’m such a fan of internet shopping and this is a WONDERFUL tool for customers to use.  I’ll get an email from Stampin’ Up! saying that you placed an order so I can make sure to follow up with you.  But…make sure you are on MY website…not anyone else’s, ok?

This is one of the swap cards I made for Convention.  Well, actually the ones I made for Convention used the Pink Pirouette large roses paper from Bella Rose and Baja Breeze, but the layout is the same.  I just forgot to take a picture of the actual Convention cards.

Lots of punches used here…the Scallop Edge punch, the large Star punch, the 5 petal flower punch and the center flower from BoHo punch.  A mini brad in the center holds them together.  I slipped the Designer Paper behind the Scallop Edge square and then back out the other side for a little something different.  The Polka Dot Background is stamped with Pink Pirouette on Pink Pirouette cardstock.  Celebrate is in Basic Grey.

Sorry this is a short post.  I had a doctor appointment today that took MUCH longer than I anticipated.  Tomorrow I’m making a short trip out of town with a couple girlfriends and won’t be back until tomorrow night, so don’t be surprised if no post tomorrow.  Or…I may just surprise you!
