Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge
Time again for a sketch challenge on Create with Connie and Mary! I know it is a BUSY week, but hopefully you can find a few minutes to sneak away and make a card for the challenge! It is fun to see how each of us intrepreted the sketch this week!

And here is my card! Love the soft colors with this set!

I think Stampin' Up!'s set, Greeting Card Kids is just DARLING. I wanted to use this little winter girl one more time before I put her away for the holidays…although, really, she could be used for a winter birthday! Hmmm, cut her out and pull something else in the little wagon! OK…my mind is going now!
I started with a base of Marina Mist cardstock. Then I used the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder and inked up the inside with my White Craft Ink (on the raised side). I placed the Blushing Bride cardstock inside and ran it thru the Big Shot. It gives a really cool look to the cardstock, doesn't it? I thought it looked very vintage. I stamped the image on Very Vanilla with Black Stazon and carefully watercolored with my Stampin' Write Markers in Blushing Bride, Marina Mist, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Blush Blossom. I layered it on Basic Gray cardstock and placed it on the front of the card. I wrapped the Marina Mist 1 1/4 Striped Ribbon around to the back and adhered. Then I gather the ribbon and tied a bow with Linen Thread.
See the adhesive Pearls in the circle on the background! It really shows up MUCH better in real life. I stamped the greeting from a new set in the Occasions Mini called Bring on the Cake in Basic Black on Blushing Bride, punched with the 1 1/4 circle and layered on a 1 3/8 circle of Marina Mist. It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and a few more Pearls added to the front.

Hope you have a VERY, Merry Christmas!
Stamping 411 – Greeting Card Kids
I think this Greeting Card Kids set is just darling! When I saw the Stamping 411 sketch for today, I thought the little girl on the pumpkin would fit perfectly!

My card is pretty simple and came together very easily!

I started with a base of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The black layer was run thru the Big Shot with the Spider Web Impressions Folder for lots of texture! I stamped the little girl on Whisper White with Black Stazon Ink. I used my Stampin' Write Markers and AquaPainter to color her. The Whisper White was layered on Elegant Eggplant and placed on top of the Spider Web.
I cut the Ric Rac from Tasteful Trim XL Bigs Die from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and placed along the bottom. I stamped Have a Wicked Halloween from Wicked Cool stamp set in Basic Black on Pumpkin Pie, stamped the spider web from that set in Basic Gray (stamped off) behind the greeting. It was punched with the Large Oval punch and layered on the Curly Label punch from Elegant Eggplant.
Wicked cool Halloween card, huh? Make sure to check out what the rest of the Stamping 411 Operators did this week!
Stamping 411 – Greeting Card Kids
I think this set is adorable! I'm not one that normally likes to "color" in my images, but this one is hard to resist! I used the Stamping 411 sketch for my start.

And here is my card:

I started with Bashful Blue as my base card and ran the front thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I used Stampin' Up!'s Celebrations Designer Paper for a banner across the front, and layered it on Pacific Point cardstock. I punched the top and bottom edge of the Pacific Point with the Eyelet Border Punch. For the focal piece, I used Greeting Card Kids stamp set and stamped the little boy and girl on Whisper White oval from Ovals #2 die with Black Stazon and layered it on the Old Olive cardstock Oval. I used my Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color them in. I added a wire clip from the Clips Assortment and Pear Pizzazz Ribbon on the left.
For the greeting, I stamped Thinking of You from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Black on Whisper White, punched with the Word Window and layered it on the Modern Label punch in Real Red, then the Scallop Oval punch in Pacific Point. That was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a clear Itty Bitty Button with the X punched from Old Olive along the right side of the greeting as a final touch. I like how it turned out!
