Holiday Lineup – CCMC128

This week on Create with Connie and Mary we have a Color Challenge.  Let's see how you use the colors of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Night of Navy and River Rock!  I think our Challenge Team came up with some pretty good ideas using these colors.  You can check them out over on Create with Connie and Mary

For my card, I pulled out an oldie, but goodie, Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Lineup.  It just wouldn't seem like Christmas if I didn't use this set at LEAST once during the holidays!  I haven't used the Elves as much as the snowmen, so I decided to pull them out.  I thought they would look good dressed up in these colors!  The only color I added was the Blush Blossom Marker for the faces…I didn't want them to be green, you know?  lol!

Now…I've used a SNEAK PEEK from the new Occasions Mini…can you see what it is?  If you guessed the Night of Navy button…you are right!  The new Springtime Vintage series features three of the colors we used…Night of Navy, Old Olive and River Rock!

I started by stamping the elves with Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White.  Then I used my Stampin' Write Markers in River Rock, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Blush Blossom and Night of Navy to color them.  At the top, I stamped Happy Holidays from Stampin' Up!'s Four the Holidays stamp set in Black Stazon.  I layered the Whisper White on Night of Navy and wrapped some of the Clear Tinsel around the bottom.

The base of the card is Old Olive and I layered a piece of River Rock that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder on it.  Along the edge, I used the Scallop Edge Punch on Rich Razzleberry.  For a final touch, I added the large Night of Navy Designer Button.  I placed a Rich Razzleberry Glimmer Brad in the center of it first and secured it with Mini Glue Dots.

This set just makes me SMILE!  Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did over on Create with Connie and Mary.  Then use the colors to create your own card and upload it!  We love to see what you do!

Holiday Lineup Snowman Soup

Sorry I was MIA yesterday.  My hubby had his epidural and seems to have a little relief.  If not better within a few days, he'll have to go in for another one.  But, I wasn't on the computer much at all yesterday helping him and getting ready for my Punch Class.  We made some CUTE punched cards!

I made several of these Snowman Soup Cocoa Kits for a craft fair recently.  I must have had them priced too high at that fair, because I reduced them by $1 and then sold out at the second event!  Or maybe people were more in a buying mode…who knows!  I find craft fairs very hard to predict.

But…these Snowman Soup Cocoa Kits I think are darling!  I love the colors of Bermuda  Bay and Real Red together.  The directions on how to make these are over on Create with Connie and Julie today.  It's not too late to join!  You can find more information HERE!  We have a LOT of tutorials, challenges and exclusive samples you won't find anywhere else.  You can access all the past blog posts, so you won't have missed a thing.

The Snowman Soup tag is computer generated from a file from Kimberly Morris.  I cut it out, stamped it with the snowflake from a set I can't remember!  Sorry!  I'll try to look it up later today when I get back from an appointment.  The Holiday Lineup snowmen were stamped with Basic Black on Whisper White and colored with my Bermuda Bay and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers.  The Background on the Bermuda Bay cardstock I used the Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel with my Bermuda Bay ink pad.

Inside the sleeve, there is a packet of marshmallows!  So, you have it all.  The Cocoa, marshamallows and a Candy Cane stirring stick!  Yummy!  Again, a nice little gift for a friend, teacher or co-worker just to say you are thinking about them!

Well…off to my appointment!  Thanks for stopping by.  Make sure to check out Create with Connie and Julie!  We'd love for you to join us!  I know you wouldn't be disappointed!

Holiday Lineup

I hope you enjoyed the Royal Blog Tour over the past couple days!  I was gone over the weekend, but able to keep track on my laptop of all the comments.  I will be naming a winner of my Blog Candy on Thursday, July 30th!

I’m still stamping in my Christmas mode!  This card was made for the Design Team Christmas in July challenge over on Late Night Stampers!

I started with stamping the Holiday Lineup image with Basic Black on Whisper White.  I used my Real Red, Sahara Sand and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Up! markers to color in the images.  I layered it on Real Red and then Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I took my colors from the Holiday Lounge Designer Paper (although it mentions Taken with Teal as the color in the DSP, I felt the Bermuda Bay blended well enough to use it!)  I layered of piece of the DSP on Real Red, then the base of Bermuda Bay, adding a length of Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to hide the seam.  Finally, I added the new Snowflake Punch from Sahara Sand and centered with the Red Rhinestone Brad in the upper left corner!  The stamped element was placed on top with Dimensionals.

FUN card!  I love it!

I’m still getting ready for Convention!  I did get some swap cards done while riding in the car for 12 hours each way!  But, I still have a crazy couple weeks coming up!  I plan on getting several posts done before I go…but it will be WILD around here!  lol!

DCBD106 – Color Challenge

I broke down.  Yep…I bought Holiday Lineup at the last minute and just now am getting to use it.  I tried to resist…but I should have known better.  Those snowmen were just calling my name and I love the expressions on the elves and reindeer.  Who could resist?  Not me…

Yesterday was the Diva Coffee Break Designer’s color challenge and I missed getting this posted.  I had a couple deadlines over my head and just couldn’t do it all.  So, I’m making up for yesterday by posting my card today.  The challenge was to use the colors of Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and either Kiwi Kiss or Tangerine Tango.  I managed to get ALL of them on my design!  The Tangerine Tango is shown in just the carrot noses!  I actually LOVE all these colors, so it wasn’t so much of a challenge!

I used my favorite coloring medium right now…reinkers and my AquaPainter.  I like how much more control I have on the depth of color.  I also used some of the Holiday Treasures designer paper, which went with these colors perfectly.  And, of course, the Kiwi Kiss striped ribbon…I go through a TON of it…I think I’m on my 4th or 5th roll!  Happy Holidays is from Many Merry Messages stamp set.  I think I’ll send this card to my mom and dad…they will get a chuckle out of the snowmen!

Check out the rest of the Diva’s…I haven’t peeked at their creations, but I am sure they are fabulous!  Enjoy!
