Bloggers Challenge – It’s a Sketch!
Today’s Bloggers Challenge is a sketch! My favorite! I get inspiration from sketches all the time. Since I’m still in Halloween mode, I pulled out my Just Jawing stamp set to give it a little love this week! I used it in place of the sunburst image that is drawn in the sketch.
I started by stamping the Skull on Night & Day Designer Paper and cutting it out. I colored the eyes with Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker and the teeth with Barely Banana marker, then added Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds (it really turned that brilliant green color!) The base is Naturals White cardstock with a layer of Cast-A-Spell Designer Paper over top of it. Then I used another piece of the Cast-A-Spell Designer Paper on top, and wrapped the Black Grosgrain Ribbon around to the back and adhered. I punched two stars from some Faux Diamond Dust cardstock I made (Versamark on cardstock, add Iridescent Ice EP and heat emboss), then changed the color of a brad with Whisper White craft ink and White Embossing Powder. Finally, the greeting was stamped with Black Craft Ink on Old Olive and punched out with the Designer Label Punch. I sponged some Old Olive ink around the edges!
Enjoy!

Just Jawing
This is a card that I did for a challenge with Mary Brown. Since it has been a couple weeks now, I forget whose sketch we used! Sorry! I know it is a sketch that I will use again…I liked how it turned out! I used the set, Just Jawing (yes, Tonya…again!) I love the Rich Razzleberry color with Old Olive!
I started by stamping the Just Jawing skull with Basic Black on Whisper White and cutting it out. I colored the eyes with the Rich Razzleberry marker (thank you SU for the In-Color markers!). I also stamped the bow in Rich Razzleberry and cut it out to be placed on her head. I stamped You Rock in Basic Black on the strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The base card is Old Olive with a layer of Basic Black and a strip of Cast-A-Spell Designer Paper. The Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon was wrapped around to the back to hide the seam and adhered. Finally, the Just Jawing skull element was applied to the front.
I had lots of fun making this card! Hope you enjoy it!

Bloggers Challenge 114 – Sketch
Yeah! Today’s Bloggers’ Challenge is a sketch card! I love sketches, as you know! This is a pretty easy one, once I had my stamp set figured out!
I love this time of year, I get to pull out my Halloween sets…and yes, I have a LOT of Halloween sets. Except, Just Jawing isn’t really a Halloween set…more of a teen stamp set, but I love the skull. (And Tonya, yes…if you are reading this, I have changed my mind about this set!) I received it free during the promotion last year and finally got it cut and mounted a couple months ago. I’ve found it useful for doing cards for my teenage niece and nephew!
Anyway…here is the card I did using this sketch!
I started by stamping the skull with White Craft ink on a piece of Cast-A-Spell Designer Paper (can you see the bats and such in the background?) and embossed with White Embossing Powder. I then used some Tombow Multipurpose glue and colored in the heart eyes with glue and sprinkled on some Celery Fine Cosmo Glitter. Fun! I roughed up the edges with my Cutter Kit Distressing Tool and layered it on an Old Olive piece of cardstock and distressed those edges, too. That element was layered onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock, also distressed and inked with Basic Black and a sponge dauber. I wrapped some of the delicious 1 1/4 Striped Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon (this stuff ties SO nicely!). I made up some Faux Diamond Dust glitter paper (rub Versamark over your cardstock, add Iridescent Ice EP and heat set) with Old Olive cardstock and punched three of the small hearts from the Heart to Heart punch and adhered them to the Pumpkin Pie cardstock with Mini Glue Dots. Finally, I stamped Happy Halloween from Teeny Tiny Wishes in black ink under the hearts. (If you don’t have that Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set yet…what are you waiting for? I use it on almost EVERY card now! It has 28 different greetings that are the perfect size for small wishes!)
I hope you have a great weekend! Other than my Demo Convention Round Up meeting on Sunday, I think I’m in for a quiet one…yeah!
