Painted Harvest again

I showed you a Painted Harvest card a couple weeks ago and said that I had done two more cards very similar to it with a little different layout.   Here it is again:

Here’s the second one that I did.

And here is the third one:

Same colors, same designer paper, just a little different layout to make subtle changes in the cards.  Here are the details again for all three.

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
  • Two 1 x 4 pieces of Painted Autumn Designer Paper were added to each side of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • A 1/2 x 5 strip of the coordinating Espresso pattern DSP was added across the top section.
  • One sunflower was directly stamped on the Very Vanilla cardstock layer with Crushed Curry Ink for the solid background and Pumpkin Pie for the top layer.  Early Espresso Ink was stamped off for the center of the flower, the the dotted image was full-strength.
  • A second flower was stamped the same on scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, then hand-cut and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves background was stamped off Garden Green, then the veins were full-strength Garden Green Ink.  They were punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked under the popped-up flower.
  • The thankful greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Very Vanilla, then punched with the Everyday Label Punch and sponged around the edges with Pumpkin Pie Ink and tucked under the sunflower.
  • Some Linen Thread was double tied in a bow and added to the sunflower with a Mini Glue Dot.

I had fun creating these for some special people!  Hope you enjoy them!  Do you have a favorite?

SUOC183 Painted Harvest

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Autumn Colors”. Of course…what set did I use?  Painted Harvest…with a pumpkin cut from the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The front of the base card has been embossed with the Quilt Top Embossing Folder.
  • On the 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Whisper White, the greeting from Painted Harvest was stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink.
  • The outline Pumpkin was cut twice…once with Pumpkin Pie cardstock and once with Cajun Craze cardstock. The inside of the Pumpkin Pie outline was filled with the Cajun Craze slivers, then adhered on the front of the card.
  • The leaves were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango Ink, Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green Ink, Cajun Craze and Chocolate Chip Ink and Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry Ink.  They were punched with the Leaf Punch and arranged around the pumpkin.
  • The stem was colored with Garden Green Marker.
  • A double loop of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the pumpkin with a Mini Glue Dot.

Don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team for SUO Challenges did this week with this theme! I’m sure they will have some great ideas!

To celebrate, I made a little 3D project using my favorite set right now, Painted Harvest.  I have a lot of these little 3×3 Note Cubes and they make a special little gift when I need something quick!  I usually will tie a matching stamped pen on top…but right now the pens are downstairs and since my knee surgery, I try to limit the number of times I go up and down the steps each day.  On Friday, I did get released from the doctor to drive!  Hard to believe it has been a month!

Here’s a view from the top:

  • The two-step sunflowers from Painted Harvest were first stamped with the background image in Crushed Curry Ink, then the top layer stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink.
  • The centers and the dots in the centers were stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink.
  • The two step eaves were stamped with the solid image in Lemon Lime Twist Ink and the veins with Garden Green Ink.
  • To fill in a little, the dots were randomly stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink in the open spaces.
  • Some Crushed Curry Mini Woven Ribbon was wrapped around and tied in a bow at the top.
  • The “Gather Together & Give Thanks” greeting from Painted Harvest was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink on the top page.

OK…don’t forget…it’s not too late to join us over on Create with Connie and Mary for some great new projects featuring stamps and bundles in the Holiday Catalog!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Holiday Catalog product

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring our “Favorite Holiday Catalog Product” this week! You KNOW that is hard, right?  SOOO many great items in the holiday catalog, it was SO hard to just choose one.  So, I went with my first instinct (and probably everyone else will, too!) and used Painted Harvest.  It is the first set that I knew I absolutely would be purchasing.

I ended up doing a series of three with this layout…I’ll show off the other two versions next week, so make sure to stop by…

This set makes it SO easy to make nice looking cards!  As I said, I’ll show off the other two versions later next week! OK…check out what the rest of the Design Team did with their Favorite Holiday Catalog product theme on their cards by taking our Saturday Blog Hop! Next up is our Create website to find out more about our September Mini Session, then onto Mary Brown or go backwards to visit Melissa Davies!

Painted Harvest

Love how quick a card can come together using the new Holiday stamp set, Painted Harvest.  Unfortunately, my husband has a work friend that isn’t doing well.  Cancer sucks!  We sent her this card today to bring a little cheer during this difficult time.

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a 1 x 4 strip of Painted Autumn Designer Paper was added.
  • A length of 1/8″ Copper Trim was added to hide the seam.
  • The sunflower from Painted Harvest stamp set was stamped with Crushed Curry…stamped off the the solid image and full strength for the top image.  The center was stamped with Chocolate Chip and the dots in the center with Chocolate Chip Ink, too.  It was hand cut and added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist on the solid and Garden Green for the veins, then used the Leaf Punch.  They were adhered under the sunflower.
  • A few extra dot images were stamped with Lemon Lime Twist around the flower.
  • The Thinking of You greeting from Thoughts & Prayers stamp set was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink.

Love the clean lines of this card!

CCMC473 Painted Harvest

I’m thinking everyone is in love with the new Painted Harvest stamp set that will be available TOMORROW in the Holiday Catalog!  SO many pretty cards done with it!  The color combination for our Create with Connie and Mary inspired the look of my card…stepping away from sunflowers into blue flowers!  LOVE how it turned out!

Here’s my card.  I did double flowers for more dimension!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Dapper Denim, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer, I stamped the flower three times, first with the background image stamped off, then the top image full strength with Dapper Denim ink.
  • Three flowers were stamped again the same way (stamp off, the full strength) on scrap Whisper White, then cut along the inside layer of petals.  The centers are done with Soft Suede Ink, then the speckle stamp added on top.  Some random leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink in the background.  I added the cut flowers on top of the backgroud flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A few more leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz Ink (stamp off for background, full strength for veins), then punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked around the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped around three times and adhered in the back.
  • The greeting was stamped with Dapper Denim on Soft Suede cardstock, punched with the new Everyday Label Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A little Clear Wink of Stella on the centers gives the flowers a little sparkle!

SOOOO pretty!!!  Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!
