Echoes of Kindness – final one

OK…here is the fourth in the series of cards I made with Echos of Kindness.  I really do need to get in the practice of sitting down and making several of the same card so I have some stock on hand when I need them!  Hard to believe I run out of cards, but a lot of mine go into my sample books.  My customers love going thru them and getting ideas on using a stamp set.  I also belong to an awesome swap group called Control Freaks.  Their cards are always AWESOME and I love showing them off!

Today I started with a base of Kiwi Kiss, then added a layer of Pink Pirouette.  I used different sizes of Raspberry Tart Designer Paper and different patterns for interest.  I also tied Pink Taffeta Ribbon around the top wider strip.  I stamped the flower with Basic Brown on Confetti White cardstock and used my Blender pen to pick up ink from my ink pads.  Then layered it on Regal Rose and Kiwi Kiss.  On Your Birthday (from the set with the same name) is stamped in Basic Brown.

Echos of Kindness Part 3

Good morning!  I’m excited…this week I leave for a LONG weekend stamping retreat!  I can’t believe it is finally here!  No meals to plan, no housework, no laundry…nothing but working on MY stamping stuff!  These weekends are SO much fun!  And, lots of my fun girlfriends will be there, too.  Some will be missing (you know who you are)…but hopefully they will join us again in the fall.

So, here is the third birthday card I made with basically the same ingredients as the other two.  For this one, I used the base of Kiwi Kiss cardstock and layered on Pink Pirouette.  The added two bands of Raspberry Tart Designer Paper.  I stamped the image in Basic Brown and colored with my Blender pen and ink pads.  I layered the Whisper White image panel on Regal Rose and then Kiwi Kiss.  I wrapped the Pink Taffeta ribbon around the image panel.  Let’s Celebrate greeting is from On Your Birthday set.  And I added three 1/4 circle punches to the bottom right.  Each card is different, yet the elements are all the same, just rearranged.  I’ll be posting the last one tomorrow, so make sure to check back!  Wouldn’t these be fun packaged up as a gift for someone?  Add a clear box and some pretty ribbon…and you are set!

Got to get ready for my technique class tomorrow night…and then start packing to take my entire studio with me!  Well…it does feel like that!  Have a wonderful day.

Echos of Kindness

I’m still fighting a killer toothache.  My brother is my dentist and I did get an emergency appointment with him first thing this morning.  Now I’m on antibiotics and he is watching to make sure I don’t need a root canal.  Oh joy!  I’m popping Advils like they are candy.  Only good thing is that I definitely don’t feel like eating!  Hopefully I’ll lose weight from enduring all this. 

I have a lot of friends with birthdays coming up soon so I spent a few hours in my Studio making up some birthday cards.  I decided to finally mount my hostess stamp set, Echos of Kindness…such a pretty set.  It is also amazingly easy to work with!  I love the abstract images, so you can watercolor them easily.

I started by stamping the image with Basic Brown and using my Blender Pen and ink pads to color in the flower image with Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss.  I followed a sketch challenge that was on SUDSOL (the best place for demos to get help building their business…click on the button at the bottom of my sidebar for a free two-week trial!)  The base of the card is Regal Rose, with a layer of Pink Pirouette over top.  A piece of the Raspberry Tart DSP with Kiwi Kiss two-tone satin ribbon tied around it.  Then I added the stamped flower, layered on Regal Rose.  Finally, I stamped Happy Birthday from Think Happy Thoughts with Basic Brown on Whisper White, punched with the 1 1/4 circle, then punched a circle of Regal Rose and a Scallop Circle of Kiwi Kiss.  I pierced each of the scallops with the piercing tool and added dimensionals on the back to pop it up.  Last, I punched a Pink Pirouette flower from the Trio of Flowers punch and placed a mini brad thru the center and thru the scallop circle.  Fun!

Going to keep this brief, I think I need more Advil and to lay on the couch a few minutes.
