www.inkspiredtreasures.com

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Crisp Cantaloupe folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
  3. On the 3 3/7 x 5 layer of Whisper White, I embossed with the Delicate Dots folder.
  4. I added a 1 1/2 x 5 pennant and 1 x 4 1/2 pennant of Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper, cut with a flag end.
  5. On the Oval Framelit, I stamped the greeting from Yippee Skippee with Black Stazon.
  6. I also stamped three Petite Petals flowers with Pool Party ink and punched out with the coordinating punch.  I punched two flowers from Pistachio Pudding cardstock and cut them for leaves, then arranged on the oval.
  7. In the centers, I used the Bitty Punches and Summer Starfruit cardstock, with a small pearl in the center.
  8. The Oval was popped up on the front.
  9. As a final touch, I tied a bow of Pool Party Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack and added it to the front with a Mini Glue dot!

I explained that if they purchased the Petite Petals Bundle (#134822, clear mount), the Oval Framelits (#129381), and a package of Pearls (#119247), they could get either the Sweet Sorbet DSP (133521) or the Delicate Dots Folder (133520) FREE with Sale-a-Bration and substitute the other items and colors!  I had several take advantage of it!!!  Yippee Skippee add on, too.  Order yours today!!!

Are you like me and making cards at the very last minute…you know…right before you walk out the door to a birthday party or other event?  If so, you are going to LOVE this card!  AND…it uses up some of those designer paper scraps you have laying around!  Of course, I featured Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper.  I am absolutely going to MISS this sweet designer paper after it goes away next week!  That's right…only a few more days are left of Sale-A-Bration so don't miss out on getting this paper FREE with any $50 order!

www.inkspiredtreasures.com

I've also used a few more Sale-A-Bration products.  The Summer Starfruit Twine is from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit and the background Pool Party cardstock is embosssed with Delicate Dots Embossing Folder.  Here are the details:

  1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White, folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Pool Party, embossed with Delicate Dots Embossing Folder.
  3. I punched out several of the different patterns in Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper with the Hexagon Punch.  I haven't used this punch nearly enough!
  4. Then I stamped the Hello Sweet Friend greeting in the matching Six-Sided Sampler stamp set with Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White, then punched it with the Hexagon Punch, too.
  5. Then I just spent a minute laying out my patterns on the front of the card.  The greeting hexagon I popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. I tied a bow with the Summer Starfruit Twine and added it to the front with Mini Glue Dots.
  7. Finally, I added bling with small Rhinestones scattered over the hexagons!

Hope you like it!  It only took a couple minutes to make!

Now…don't forget…go check out our Design Team over on Create with Connie and Mary today!

You’re Lovely

Here's a quick and easy card using a couple punches and the Deco Label Framelits!  The Postage Stamp Punch is one that I haven't used much, but it looks awesome with the Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper for the background!

www.inkspiredtreasures.com

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 of Pool Party cardstock, folded in half with the fold on the left side…just a little different way!
  2. Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock for the background layer.
  3. Punch 10 Postage Stamp squares from Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper (you don't need the two in the center).  Start placing the end ones first, then fill in towards the centers.
  4. Cut the second from smallest Deco Label Framelit from Pool Party cardstock and place in the center.
  5. Stamp You're Lovely image with Black Stazon on Whisper White and cut out with the smallest Deco Label Framelit.
  6. Watercolor the image with Summer Starfruit and Pear Pizzazz Markers.  Add the Pool Party greeting from Petite Pairs (or use one of the greetings in the You're Lovely set).  Pop up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. Punch 3 Petite Petals flowers from Summer Starfruit cardstock.  Add to front around label and place Rhinestones in the center.

CCMC294 Petal Parade

It's time for another Thursday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!  This time we have a beautiful color challenge for you!  Of course, with the bright pink and green, I had to go with flowers…don't you think?  But, I'm amazed at what the Challenge Team did for us over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Check it out!

www.inkspiredtreasures.com

I used the Sale-a-Bration set, Petal Parade for my card, combined with the In Color Patterns Paper.  I thought it sort of looked like a trellis behind the flowers!

www.inkspiredtreasures.com

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White, folded in half.
  2. I added a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Strawberry Slush In Color Patterns Designer Paper Pack.
  3. On a 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flowers in Strawberry Slush and Old Olive inks randomly.  I layered it on a 3 7/8 x 2 3/8 piece of Basic Black cardstock and popped it up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. I stamped the arrows with Old Olive Ink in a line across a 3/4" x 5 1/4 strip of Old Olive cardstock and adhered it across the top portion of the card.
  5. I stamped the flower with Strawberry Slush Ink on Whisper White, then cut it with the Starburst Framelit.  The Rhinestone Jewel is supposed to be in the MIDDLE of the flower…it must have gotten knocked off and I didn't notice!  lol!
  6. I layered the flower on a 1 3/8" circle of Basic Black cardstock and placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. I stamped Thinking of You from Teeny Tiny Wishes on a 1/2" strip of Strawberry Slush and tucked it under the circle.

Make sure to check out the rest of the Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Then, grab your stamps and play along!

Week 2 Spring Collection Challenge

SpringBadge

It's the end of Week 2 of the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection and we've had fun showing off the Sale-A-Bration products this week in our project tutorials.  Now it is time for our Saturday Challenge.  We have a fun color challenge this week!  Love the soft colors and hope they put you in the mind of Spring!

Spring14-02

Here's my card using You're Lovely in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  I also used the beautiful Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper that is another option for Sale-A-Bration!

www.inkspiredtreasures.com

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand, folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock.
  3. On it, I added 1 3/4 x 3 1/4 pieces of Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper, rounding the two corners on each piece.
  4. Over those, I added a 1 3/4 x 4 3/4 piece of coordinating Sweet Sorbet DSP and rounded all four corners.
  5. I stamped the floral image with Black Stazon, then watercolored with Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe markers and my AquaPainter.  I added the Live Happy greeting in Black Stazon, too.
  6. That was cut with the Deco Label Framelit.  Then I matted it by cutting two more Framelits the same size, cutting one in half lengthwise and one in half vertically, then spaced them so it created a mat.
  7. My final touch was to add Sahara Sand Candy Dots on the horizonal pieces.

Make sure to check out the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection Design Team to see what they did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!  And, while you are there, it's not too late to sign up!  We still have two full weeks to go…next week is CARD CREATE-TIONS!  Nothing but cards!

CCMC-OCC4 Swallowtail

We have another fun color challenge for you over on Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition!  Grab your stamps and play along!  We've been featuring Nature sets in the Spring and Sale-A-Bration minis this week.

I love the Swallowtail butterfly that is in the Spring Mini.  It makes such a pretty background.

Here are the details on my card.

  1. The Crumb Cake cardstock is cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half to make base card.
  2. The Daffodil Delight is cut 3 1/2 x 5 1/2.  I added a 1/2 x 5 1/2" trim of Midnight Muse cardstock to both the top and bottom to look like a layer.
  3. I stamped the Swallowtail with Crumb Cake towards the right side of the Daffodil Delight, then stamped the greeting from Feels Good iin Midnight Muse towards the left side.
  4. I wrapped Linen Thread several times around and tied a knot on the front.
  5. To get the Marina Mist in there, I stamped the butterfly from Bloomin' Marvelous in Marina Mist and punched it with the Petite Butterfly Punch, adding two Rhinestone Jewels for the body.  It is popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Nice, clean and simple card to put together!  I need to use that Swallowtail butterfly some more!

Make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team over on Create with Connie and Mary for some awesome inspiration on this color challenge!  And…while you are there…have you signed up for the Spring Edition of Create with Connie and Mary?  If not…why not?  We still have one more week of new posts to go…but you can access everything we've done so far 24/7 for at least the next year!

CCMC239 – Bloomin’ Marvelous

Happy Valentine's Day!  We have a fun sketch challenge for you over on Create with Connie and Mary!  Hope you play along!  Make sure to check out the rest of the Thursday Challenge Team and be prepared to be inspired!

Here's mine…no, not a Valentine.  I'm kind of done with those by now.  I must admit…I did another card first, then changed it out to this one.  I'll post the first one I made on Friday!  lol!  You can tell me which one you like better!

This is what I did!

  1. I started with 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Sahara Sand cardstock.  I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit along the right edge, then embossed it with the Adorning Accent folder.
  2. I layered a 1 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Sycamore Street DSP on the inside edge of the card so it shows thru to the front.
  3. I stamped the greeting from Feels Good stamp set in Island Indigo on the front of the Sahara Sand card base.
  4. The Bloomin' Marvelous flowers were stamped with Tangerine Tango on Whisper White, then cut out.
  5. I punched the Blossom Punch from Summer Starfruit cardstock and a portion of the Blossom from Island Indigo cardstock.  I added the Summer Starfruit to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals, then tucked the smaller Bloomin' Marvelous flowers around it.  The Island Indigo Blossom I cut off two petals and tucked it behind.
  6. I flattened the Soda Pop Top with the Big Shot, then punched a 1" circle of the same DSP for the center.
  7. The butterfly from Bloomin' Marvelous was stamped with Island Indigo Ink, then punched with the Petite Butterfly punch and placed with Stampin' Dimensional.
  8. Finally, I added a trio of small Pearls for the butterfly's body and trios of small pearls to each of the Bloomin' Marvelous flowers.

Hope you like it!

It's Week 4 over on Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition and we are showing off the Nature sets in the Spring Mini and Sale-A-Bration brochures.  It's not too late to join us…we still have 1 1/2 weeks left to go, plus you can see all the projects we've already done.  Some are easy, some more difficult…but all of them will work great in your classes and stamp camps!  AND…we leave them up for over a year so you can refer back to them 24/7!  At a price of $34.95 US for over 30 step-by-step PHOTO tutorials…how can you go wrong?  That's just a little over $1 a piece!

CCMC237 – Vintage Verses

Yes!!!  It's Sale-A-Bration time and Vintage Verses is one of my FAVORITES!  I decided to use it for the Sketch Challenge today over on Create with Connie and Mary.  Come play along…don't be afraid, our Challenge Team has LOTS of great ideas using the sketch to give you inspiration!

That Mary…she loves square cards…lol!  So, instead of converting it to regular size, I went ahead and did mine up square, too!  I love the colorful patterns in the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP.  Now…second guessing myself, I would probably do this in Daffodil Delight instead of Pink Pirouette…but I wasn't going to re-do it.

Here are the details!

  1. The base card is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, folded in half to form the square.
  2. The Whisper White is 4 x 4.  I added a 1" x 4" of green dotted Designer Paper from S&S.  I also added the Melon Mambo 3/8 Striped Ribbon along the front and secured it in the back.
  3. I cut a 2 x 3 piece of Designer Paper, then cut 3/4" off one side and 1-1/2 on the other side to give me the 4 pieces.  (So in other words, 2 pieces of 3/4 x 1 1/2 and 2 pieces of 1 1/4 x 1 1/2")  Hope that makes sense.
  4. I stamped the greeting from Vintage Verses (SAB set) in Black Stazon on Pink Pirouette, then cut it with the Window Frame framelit.  I added a large Rhinestone jewel to the filigree.

Pretty birthday card?  I think so!  Make sure to check out the rest of the Thursday Challenge Team to see what they did with the sketch over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Day 6 – Bloomin’ Marvelous

It's Day 6 of Create with Connie and Mary Spring PREVIEW WEEK!  Elizabeth has a FREE TUTORIAL for you over on Create with Connie and Mary...and…check out where to get BLOG CANDY today…a free subscription to the Spring Edition (or, if you have already paid…we'll apply it to the New Catalog 2013 Edition!)  But…hurry…only one more day to take advantage of the Early Bird Price, save $5 off the regular $34.95 US price…it's only $29.95 US for over 30 step-by-step PHOTO tutorials!

This card is a little different for me!  Remember when we didn't have a wonderful selection of designer papers like we do now?  We used to "make" our own designer paper using stamps.  That's what I did here with the Bloomin' Marvelous stamps…available during Sale-A-Bration in just a few more days!

Here are the details:

  1. The base card is 4 1/4 x 11 of Pink Pirouette cardstock, folded in half.
  2. I layered on Cherry Cobbler cut to 4 x 5 1/4.
  3. The 3 7/8 x 5 1/8" Whisper White panel is stamped with Cherry Cobbler flowers, Pink Pirouette butterflies and Lucky Limeade leaves randomly all over.
  4. I cut a 2 x 5" strip of Lucky Limeade and embossed with the Honeycomb folder, then cut the flag end.
  5. The Heart is punched out of the Oval cut with the oval Framelits.  Under it is a piece of Whisper White stamped with the flower and leaf stamps.  The flower was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  6. I stamped Miracles Happen in Cherry Cobbler on Pink Pirouette and punched it with the Decorative Label punch, put it back in and punched so that it was a smaller size.
  7. Finally, I added a Pink Pirouette butterfly with rhinestone body.

What do you think?  Do you like it?  I think it turned out pretty cool!

Outlined Occasions

Sorry I've been an inconsistent blogger lately.  I've been clearing out my studio getting ready to paint.  Everything had to come down off the walls since cabinets will be replacing a lot of the open shelving I had.  But, my husband got the painting finished yesterday and it is BEAUTIFUL!  I love the color…nice and bright and springy!  It is amazing what a difference it made in the room.  This was is exactly how I imaged!  It looks wonderful with the new cabinet color and I'm getting so excited to get my room done.  The flooring is scheduled to be installed on Monday so I need to clear out my temporary area this week, too.  Cabinets are still about 3-4 weeks out from being installed, but it is getting closer!  Then, on top of everything, taxes.  YUK!!!  That is always a chore to get done.  I worked on them some over the weekend, but they definitely cramp my creativity.

I think Outlined Occasions is a fun set in the Sale-A-Bration Mini and I haven't used it a whole lot, so I wanted to feature it today, along with Fresh Vintage.  I think I've seen this card called the Snip and Tuck and originally I had planned on using it for one of my Club cards this month…then went in a different direction.  Since SAB is going away at the end of the month, I thought I'd better be showing it off now.

While this is a pretty simple card, what makes it fun is the opening!  The Lucky Limeade base is cut on the top of the front and at the bottom on the back layer so that they tuck inside each other to keep it closed.  What is on the bottom shows thru on the top!

On the front I stamped the small flower from Fresh Vintage randomly in Lucky Limeade, then added a strip of SAB Everyday Enchantment Designer Paper, layered on Pool Party that is punched with the Pinking Hearts Border.  I stamped Thanks from Outlined Occasions in Basic Black, then colored the letters with Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade markers.  I punched it with the Extra Large Oval and layered it on the Decorative Label punch.  That is placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is the inside.  I hope you can see the diagonal cuts on each piece.  I stamped Fresh Vintage large flower along the right side so that I appears on the front when the two pieces are tucked together.

I also stamped So Very Much from Outlined Occasiosn in Basic Black, stamped the little flower again in Lucky Limeade, then punched with the Extra Large Oval and layered on Pool Party Decorative Label just like the front.  Very simple, but cute with that different type of fold for the card!

Make sure to check out my list of RETIRED STAMPS FOR SALE here!  Since I've been cleaning out, I've come across a lot of stamp sets I had saved over the past 10 years…but, time to move them to new homes!  Great prices!

Oh yes…do you know what time it is?  Tomorrow is the Tour de Freaks…make sure to stop by and check out the tour this month!  We'll be featuring Spring into Spring!
