Cookie Cutter Christmas

I’ve mentioned before that I did several craft fairs this year.  I sold out of these Santa Nugget favors at the first one and ended up making another big batch of them.  I only have one left!  Pretty good sellers!  (You can see one of the other style I did for craft shows using the Gingerbread image here!)

Here’s a partial batch of them that I remembered to take:

A few details:

  • The Hershey Nuggets were wrapped with 1 x 3 pieces of Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper (sold out).
  • I used the 2 x 8 Cello Bags that Stampin’ Up! sells and were tied closed with the Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine.
  • Peaceful Pines tree was stamped with Always Artichoke Ink on Garden Green cardstock and cut with the Tree Framelit.
  • Santa was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and watercolored with Real Red, Basic Black, Crushed Curry and Blushing Bride.  Wink of Stella was used on the fur and beard to make them sparkle.  He was punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  • The tray is Real Red cardstock…sorry, I didn’t keep the measurement.  The width of the Hershey nugget plus 1/2 inch on each side, scored at 1/4 and 1/2 on each side and the length about 5-1/2.

And…because I’ll be asked.  I sold them for $3 each.  You can order the products at my website by clicking on the photos below!  I appreciate it!

CCMC373 Cup of Cheer

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary  Challenge!  We have a really fun sketch for you to try this week!  I love the different looks the designers came up with!

CCMC373 copy
And here is my card.  I love cutting out those Santa images in the Home for Christmas Designer Paper!

CCMC373 Cup of Cheer
Here are the details on how to recreate this card:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party, folded in half.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla.
  • Across the center is a 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Home for Christmas DSP, along the bottom of it is a 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Gold Metallic Cardstock.
  • The greeting was stamped first with Tuxedo Black Ink on Very Vanilla, then stamped again in Real Red and the “On his way” cut out and placed over the Tuxedo Black one with Stampin’ Dimensions.  It was cut with the 3rd from smallest Oval Framelit.
  • The Pool Party snow pattern DSP was cut with the Lots of Labels Framelit and popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Oval greeting on top.
  • The Santa was hand-cut from the DSP…love that his ice skates make it look like he spelled out the greeting!
  • Finally added Home for Christmas Enamel Dots to the front for some bling!

OK…go check out the rest of the Thursday Challenge Team over on Create with Connie and Mary and see what they created this week!

Color Me Christmas Santa

I love this set, Color Me Christmas, the more and more I work with it.  At first I thought it was almost too childish…but with a new grandbaby, I'd figure I would still use it.  But, it really has turned more whimsical than childish in my mind!  Here's a card I did using the Santa for the first time.  I'm thinking I'll make my Santa tags with him this year…was quick and easy to color!  I also used the new photopolymer stamp set, Christmas Tagables for the greetings.

Here are the details.

  1. The base of the card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White on top.
  3. Next is a 2 1/4 x 5" strip of Season of Style Designer Paper, cut with a flag end.
  4. I stamped the Santa from Color Me Christmas with Black Stazon on Whisper White, then watercolored with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Blush Blossom, and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers.  I cut with the Circle Framelits.
  5. I also cut Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Silver Glimmer Circles with the Circle Frameits.
  6. The Merry Christmas banner and 25 come from the Christmas Tagables set and I stamped them with Basic Black or Cherry Cobbler.  The 25 is punched with the 3/4" Circle and adhered to the Silver Glimmer Paper with Monoadhesive.

Isn't he fun?  Pretty quick and easy card to make, too!
