Window Dressing Control Freaks swap

I’m back from my trip!  Had a fun time with my friends and teaching a couple stamping classes!  Time always goes by SO fast while I’m there.  It is tiring, but I’m always happy to see everyone.

This card was the one that I did for my Control Freaks Swapping group.  I think it is safe to share it now…everyone should have received their package of swaps.  They ALL were awesome, like usual!  This is a great group of gals.  It was fun getting together with them at lunch time during one day at Convention.  Several I had met…some were new faces.  Love to put faces with names.

Funny story about making this card.  I took all the pieces with me when I had to do a 2 hour glucose test at my doctor’s office.  While I was waiting for results, I grabbed the table in the waiting room and spread out.  I had several people stop by and comment on them…wondering why I was working on Christmas cards in August!  I gave my card out to a couple people…would be fun to get a new customer from that experience!

This card uses the new Snowflake #2 die!  I used Shimmer paper so it is really sparkly in real life.  The base card is Whisper White with a layer of Baja Breeze.  I inked up a blank jumbo cartridge with Baja Breeze refill so I could use the Jumbo snowflake wheel in the background.  The Window Dressing snowmen I stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White, then watercolored the background with Bashful Blue.  I used Really Red markers for the scarves and Only Orange for the nose.  They were punched with the 1 3/8 circle punch and layered on Not Quite Navy Scallop Circle.  I wrapped the 5/8" Real Red ribbon around the Baja Breeze layer and attached to the base card.  I am very happy with how this card turned out!

Tomorrow is the Blogger’s Challenge Friday again!  Check back for my post.  (Guess I’d better get working on it, huh?)
