For my card, I stamped the snowman image in Memories Black ink, then colored with my Copics.  The white panel is layered on Basic Black.  Then I added a strip of Holiday Lounge Designer Paper layered on Real Red.  Finally, I used the large Snowflake punch from Sahara Sand and placed a red Rhinestone brad in the center.  I added a couple glittery snowflakes I had in my "stash" to the top left corner.

Inkspired Treasures

Today is the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Blog Hop!  Hope you’ll take a few minutes and check out the Blogs featuring Scripture Verses!  One of the things I really like about SNSS is the variety of Scripture verses that are included in most of the stamp sets.  This one from John 8:12 is especially useful to sending off to shut-ins.  It is in the stamp set, Light of the World.

I started this card by cutting an Oval with my Oval Bigz Die in the Big Shot in the center of a Whisper White piece of cardstock.  I laid it over another Whisper White piece and used my sponge dauber with Baja Breeze ink to created the reverse Oval mask.  With the mask still on, I stamped the lighthouse with stamped-off Baja Breeze ink, so it is very faint in the background.  Then I stamped the Scripture verse in Basic Black ink so it really popped out.  The Whisper White was layered on Baja Breeze and then Chocolate Chip cardstock.

The base card is Baja Breeze cardstock and I layered a piece of Parisian Breeze striped designer paper on top of Kraft cardstock.  Then cut some 1 1/4 circles from the Brown Paisley print in Parisian Breeze to layer under it.  Finally, I punched the Scallop Circle from Kraft cardstock, and the 5 petal flower punch from the Paisley print, and added a Kraft Corduroy Button tied with Linen Thread in the center.

INKspired Treasures

This is a new digital image from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps that you can purchase and download right to your computer!  Very fast and easy!  I think it is a darling bear and I’m partial to fall images!

I printed him out on Neehan Solar White cardstock and started coloring him with my Copic Sketch markers.  For some reason I have a TON of different shades of brown, so I had a great time with him.  I also love the varigation of colors in the leaves he is raking.  The base cardstock is Stampin’ Up! Creamy Caramel.  The name of the designer paper I used is Autumn Vine, but it retired last year.  I layered it on Dusty Durango.  Thankful for you was punched with the 1 1/4 circle, layered on 1 3/8 circle of Chocolate Chip and finally layered on a Dusty Durango Scallop Circle.  I pierced each of the scallops in the circle.  Then it was popped on with dimensionals.

First…thank you to everyone who commented on yesterday’s Totally Tools Tool Box!  I’m so happy you liked it…definitely made me feel better!  Yes, the front has only faux drawers…they don’t open up.  The base is made with two XL Box #2 diecuts stacked on top of each other.  The Basic Black and Brushed Silver layers help hold it together.  

This is the new digital image that will be available for purchase over at Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps next week!  I think she is SO cute!  I showed this card to my son’s girlfriend who is a teacher…she loved it!

I printed out the image and used a variety of Copic Sketch Markers to color her in.  I did use Stampin’ Up!’s Modern Label punch to punch out the School is Cool words…then layered it on the Modern Label Movers & Shakers diecut!  It fits perfectly behind it!  The base card is Real Red, with a layer of Soft Sky (matched the marker colors in her dress!), then East Coast Prep Designer Paper from Stampin’ Up! is matted with Wild Wasabi cardstock.  Finally, I added the Red Riding Hood Taffeta Ribbon.

FUN…and a big reminder that school will be starting soon!  Oh my…where has the summer gone?

Well, today at Convention we will start out with General Session!  It is SO energizing to go in, hear the band/disc jockey playing music…people up and dancing and FRANTICALLY swapping cards!  I only brought along about 20 for general swapping, but I always have a good time.  Later this afternoon will be some classes.   I always learn a lot and love hearing how others run their business.

This week’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps card is from Sweet Dreams stamp set.  I love the look of bliss on this owl’s face!  Relaxing is always a good thing!

I colored the owl and tree branch with my Copic markers!  I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with these.  I wanted a few more leaves than the stamp actually has, so I stamped the branch again and cut out just the leaves.  I added them to the branch with dimensionals.

The Designer Paper is from Stampin’ Up!’s Good Morning Sunshine.  I paper pieced the hat with the same paper as the background.  The base is Pacific Point cardstock with a layer of Whisper White.  I used a couple buttons on the 5/8 White Satin Ribbon, and tied the center one with linen thread.  Relax was stamped with Basic Black and punched with the Large Oval punch, layered on a Pacific Point Oval Scallop punch and then the Lots of Tags Sizzix die.

One of the Design Team members for Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps, Chris Dickinson, created this beautiful stamp set, Light of the World.  It appealed to me because my mother collects lighthouse memorabilia.  I also love the sayings in this set…so appropriate for the image!

It is difficult to see in the photograph, but the background of the lighthouse has a variety of shades of Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue and Almost Amethyst…making it look like the clouds and then the water.  It is a technique from Technique Junkies called Reinker Splash (minus the metallic ink).  The lighthouse was stamped in Black Stazon on top of the background.  I layered the image on Basic Black, then Almost Amethyst. 

The Base card is Stampin’ Up! Bashful Blue with a layer of Whisper White.  Then a layer of Brocade Blue.  I used some Bashful Blue Designer Patterns Paper and layered it on top of a section of Almost Amethyst, using the Eyelet Border Punch across the bottom.  I added two tabs of White grosgrain ribbon and then stamped the words Shine Your Light with Basic Black on Whisper White and punched with the 1 1/4 Circle Punch, then layered it on 1 3/8 Almost Amethyst, the punched the Bashful Blue with the Scallop Circle Punch and pierce each of the scallops with the Paper Piercer and Mat.
