Wicked Cool
OK…another Halloween card! You know…Stampin' Up! just keeps coming up with the neatest Halloween sets! They told us at Convention that is is the biggest growing holiday for home decor…billion dollar industry! I can believe it! I started pulling out a few of my Halloween decorations today!

I just had to use Stampin' Up!'s Wicked Cool stamp set again. I paired it with Technostampers Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge….it was just a FUN sketch to use!

I used a base of Old Olive cardstock and stamped the bats in the upper left corner a couple times. I cut some strips of 1 x 2 inch Wicked Fun Designer Paper (this sketch is a GREAT way to use up scraps!) and layered it on Basic Black. I punched a Scallop Circle from Tangerine Tango, and added the Black Flourish Jewels to each of the scallops AND along the top right…it is very sparkly in person! I stamped Spooky with Basic Black in the lower right corner and the Witches Shoes on scrap Whisper White cardstock, then cut them out. I added jewels to the laces and colored the socks with Old Olive and Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Markers. A fun, quick card!

Wicked Cool Bookmark
This will be quick…still not feeling well. Had to cancel my class that was two hours away, just didn't think I'd be able to make it up and back in a car for that long! Sad to miss seeing everyone…I hope to reschedule for next week.
This is a fun project that my Stamp Club made last night! I've seen a lot of the Owl Bookmarks going around, but thought a Halloween one would be fun!
For the front…I took a 2 1/4 x 9 piece of Old Olive cardstock, folded it in half and placed in the Two Tag Die just below the cut line on the top of the tag…that way it doesn't cut thru and will remain folded to fit over the page. I used the images from Stampin' Up!'s Wicked Cool stamp set…my favorite new Halloween set…can you tell? I randomly stamped Spooky in the background with Basic Black ink. On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the witch hat and shoes in Basic Black. I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to color in the hat band and socks, then cut them out. I punched a Scallop Circle from Rich Razzleberry and 1 3/8 circle from Wicked Fun Specialty DSP and adhered the shoes over top. The hat was added with a Stampin' Dimensional.

On the back, I stamped Spooky randomly again in the background. Punched another Rich Razzleberry Scallop Circle. On Whisper White, I stamped the spiderweb in Basic Gray, then Have a Wicked Halloween in Basic Black over top.
Just slip the bookmark over your page to hold your place! This makes a FUN little gift for a goblin in your life! Unfortunately, it doesn't work on my Amazon Kindle! lol!
Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge
I look forward to these challenges, hope that you do, too! Mary came up with this awesome sketch for CCMC110. I hope you play along and add your creation to Inlinkz on the Create with Conne and Mary website!

I continue to be excited about Stampin' Up!'s new Halloween set, Wicked Fun! I just love the stamp elements in this set! Here is this week's Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge using this set!

Do you spot something NEW? How about that Spider Web folder? AWESOME! I thought the circle in the sketch would be perfect for a spider web. I used the Big Shot to emboss it on Basic Black cardstock, then used a sponge dauber and the Platinum Shimmer Paint to highlight sections of the web! I used the Clear Circle die to cut my circle, then layered it on the large Scallop Circle Die of Tangerine Tango. The polka dot designer paper is from Wicked Fun. I stamped Have a Wicked Halloween on Whisper White with Basic Black Classic Ink and punched with the 1 1/4 circle punch, then layered on the Tangerine Tango 1 3/8 circle punch. That was offset and layered on the 1 3/4 Circle Punch of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I stamped the witches hat on Whisper White with Basic Black added Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry to the hat band with my Stampin' Write Markers, then cut it out.
I wrapped Black Satin Ribbon around and tied a knot. The background Old Olive cardstock was run thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder and layered onto the base 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. Boy…what did we ever do without the Big Shot! I think I use it on almost every card I make! Such a GREAT tool for cardmaking and scrapbooking! Finally, I punched two bats from Basic Black, sponged around them with the Platinum Shimmer Paint and popped them up with Dimensionals. I added some bling with Rhinestone Jewels on their bodies!
Make sure to go check out the rest of the Challenge Team's designs this week over on Create with Connie and Mary. AND…did you know we are looking for FOUR new Design Team members for the Holiday Edition of Create with Connie and Mary coming soon? We'd LOVE for you to apply! You can see the details HERE!
Stamping 411 – Wicked Cool!
I'm back!!! Wow…what an AWESOME time at Convention! I was so happy that I decided to go…even at the last minute! I ran into MANY people that I know…always so much fun catching up and seeing my online friends in person! AND…lots of friends up on stage for Sales, Cruise and Recruiting marches…along with Demos of the Year! Congratulations to everyone!
I needed to leave Convention on Friday night to go to my son's Wedding Reception in Wisconsin…remember, he had been married in Cancun a few weeks ago, and this was the reception for Beth's family. Our family reception in Ohio is in a few weeks. So, yes, we've extended the party all summer! lol! Had a wonderful party there, too! So…now it is back to normal (ha, ha…) for a few weeks!
Somehow Selene didn't get this card for the Stamping 411 challenge this week, and my computer didn't save it on my Blog post, so I couldn't go in and edit it while I was at Convention! It's a little late, but I LOVED how it turned out, so I'm sharing it anyway! Here's the sketch:

And…here is my card! Again, I'm using the Wicked Cool stamp set and Wicked Fun Designer Paper! LOVE them! lol!

I started with a base of Cajan Craze cardstock and layered on Basic Black cardstock. I used a piece of the Wicked Fun Designer Paper and roughed up the edges with the Cutter Kit. I tied the Black Satin Ribbon with a bow around the top. I stamped the cobweb in Basic Black on Whisper White, then the greeting in Cajan Craze. I added one of the Rhinestone Jewels to the center. I distressed the edges with the Cutter Kit and layered it on Basic Black that I also distressed. Finally, I used the new bat punch for my accents along the bottom as the sketch showed. Isn't it fun????
OK…hubby is still home today, so we are doing laundry, catching up on yardwork and hopefully get some running done for the upcoming Wedding Reception here in Ohio! I have BIG shoes to fill to compete with their party! lol! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Stamping 411 Operators did this week with the sketch!
Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge – Sketch
We have a fabulous sketch for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge this week! The other Challenge Team Members have some fabulous cards, so make sure to check them out over on Create with Connie and Mary! Use your creativity and play along with us…add your card to InLinkz over on Create and use CCMC108 in your post or gallery upload!

For my card, I used a new set that I SWORE I wasn't going to buy…I didn't NEED any more Halloween sets. But, you know…Stampin' Up! always comes out with a Halloween set that I just HAVE to get! I love them!
.jpg)
The set is called Wicked Cool…and I ADORE these witch shoes! That image and the Spooky greeting sold me on this set! I first stamped the shows with Basic Black Classic Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. I added a strip of the dotted Designer paper from the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Paper package (it has black flocking on some of the pieces!) Then I punched with the 1 3/4 circle punch. I added the circle to the NEW 2 3/8 Scallop Circle…love it…from Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I used more of the Wicked Fun Designer Paper with the Spooky pattern layered onto Basic Black cardstock. I ran the Old Olive cardstock thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder for some texture in the background. Along the left side, I used the Black Striped 1 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon, secured it in the back of the Old Olive, then used some Linen Thread to tie a bow on the front for a little detail!
I liked this card so well that in addition to being my challenge card for Create with Connie and Mary, it is also one of my swap cards at Convention for the Control Freaks! I know there are some Freaks who love Halloween as much as I do! Again, check out the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team to see what they did with this sketch this week!
