This week on Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog 2012 Edition, we are featuring a "Growing Up!" series of projects! They include the new catalog sets of Baby Boutique, Bug Me, RMHC Moving Forward, Storybook Friends, Blast Off, Great Sport and Dress Up. All the fun kids sets in the new catalog! It's not too late to join! You'll have access to all the projects with step-by-step tutorials that we've done so far! We leave our site up over a year after the session ends, so you have plenty of time to refer back to projects as you need them! At $29.95 US for over 30 tutorials, that is less than $1 each! Join us today and use these ALL YEAR LONG!
My card today uses one of the sets, Stampin' Up!'s Moving Forward. This is the Ronald McDonald House Charities set included in the catalog. For every set purchased, Stampin' Up! donates $2 towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities. I volunteer at the one in Columbus. We've made cards for them, we've baked cookies. It is a great charity to support…the families are so grateful for any little thing you do.
This card is for my great nephew who turned ONE a couple weeks ago! We weren't able to attend the party, but I need to mail off his gift. Since I usually wait until the last minute and need a card QUICKLY…I kept this clean and simple! Very fast to put together! Is anyone else like me? Besides…he's ONE…he won't even look at the card! lol!
The base of the card is Pool Party. I layered on Whisper White. Then I cut a thin 3/8" strip of the striped paper in Storybook Friends Designer Paper and cut three pieces 4" long. Those are layered on the front. I cut a Label Framelit from the Riding Hood Red checked pattern in that same designer paper series. That is placed on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used my markers to ink up the boat image with Wild Wasabi,, Pool Party and Riding Hood Red Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Whisper White, then cut it out. The boat is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, too. Of course, I had to add a little bling…a Rhinestone Jewel at the top of the sail!
Have a great week…it is a little cooler here, thank goodness! I need to finish up the gifts and swaps I need for Convention this week. And, hopefully get to stamp some things to post on my blog while I'm gone!

Darling card and perfect for a little one! My great nieces and nephews love my cards, but at 1, they don't care! And, yes, I think MANY of us wait to the last minute…and that is when clean and simple work best! Also want to say that my ribbon share arrived today – thank you for getting it here so fast…I am so excited to play with them! Have a great week!

Hi Connie, I see you like the new Ronald McDonald set as much as I do. Everytime I make something using that set it just makes me so happy! Just an FYI for you that I only recently corrected myself on. Stampin' Up! donates $3, not $2, for every set sold. I too had been telling my customers $2 for years (yikes!) and just recently noticed the difference in the new catalog. Makes it even more of a great special purchase as far as I am concerned. Keep on sharing your wonderful ideas and thank you.
