I told you yesterday I made a mistake when I made my first Origami Tie this year…I wanted a larger size than I used last year for my 3 ties on this CARD. (The TUTORIAL is there, too!) This time, I started with a 5" square and it was too big for a standard sized card (4 1/2 square is the largest to fit on a standard card.) I decided to go ahead and use my 5" sample and make a 3×6 base card.
This one is pretty easy! The base 3×6 card is Not Quite Navy and I layered Whisper White over top. I used a scrap strip of Urban Garden Designer Paper along the left side. I used my Big Shot and Go Go Boots dies to spell out the word DAD in Kiwi Kiss. The paper for the tie is from the Hostess Patterns Designer Paper Pack…the 6×6 size was perfect to cut down to use for the ties! Again…very simple…little embellishment…just the way guys like it!
I’m getting ready for vacation and hope to get some things posted to show up while I’m gone next week. Tonight is my monthly Punch Class and I need to clean up my studio before they get here. Plus, I need to make a gift for my friend who we are staying with on Friday night!
Have a wonderful day!
