Yes!!!  It's Sale-A-Bration time and Vintage Verses is one of my FAVORITES!  I decided to use it for the Sketch Challenge today over on Create with Connie and Mary.  Come play along…don't be afraid, our Challenge Team has LOTS of great ideas using the sketch to give you inspiration!

 

That Mary…she loves square cards…lol!  So, instead of converting it to regular size, I went ahead and did mine up square, too!  I love the colorful patterns in the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP.  Now…second guessing myself, I would probably do this in Daffodil Delight instead of Pink Pirouette…but I wasn't going to re-do it. 

 

 

Here are the details!

  1. The base card is 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, folded in half to form the square.
  2. The Whisper White is 4 x 4.  I added a 1" x 4" of green dotted Designer Paper from S&S.  I also added the Melon Mambo 3/8 Striped Ribbon along the front and secured it in the back.
  3. I cut a 2 x 3 piece of Designer Paper, then cut 3/4" off one side and 1-1/2 on the other side to give me the 4 pieces.  (So in other words, 2 pieces of 3/4 x 1 1/2 and 2 pieces of 1 1/4 x 1 1/2")  Hope that makes sense.
  4. I stamped the greeting from Vintage Verses (SAB set) in Black Stazon on Pink Pirouette, then cut it with the Window Frame framelit.  I added a large Rhinestone jewel to the filigree.

SC421 Hearts a Flutter

Had a little time to play along with the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge today, although it took more time than I wanted it to!  I just wasn't happy with how it was turning out.  But…I think I worked out some of the "glitches" I was having!

 

 

As you can see, the sketch had a lot going on!  And here is what I came up with.

 

 

I wanted to show that you can use the Hearts A Flutter stamp set and framelits for more than just Valentines or love cards!  I think this one is neutral enough to be a birthday card, don't you?  Here are the details:

  1. 4 1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, folded in half to make base card.
  2. 2 x 5 1/2 piece of More Amore Designer Paper layered on 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 of Basic Gray cardstock.
  3. I stamped the banners in Hearts a Flutter in Raspberry Ripple and Basic Gray, then cut them out with the Framelits along with the solid Primrose Petals cardstock one.
  4. I pierced holes in the corners of the tags so I could feed thru the Linen Thread, then tied knots on the ends.  I added them to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. I added one of the Flower Trim roses to the solid banner with a Pearl in the center.
  6. Under the greeting I added the new Basic Gray Ribbon, cut with a flag end on one side.
  7. Finally, I stamped the greeting from the FREE Sale-A-Bration set, Vintage Verses in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla, then cut it with the Label Framelits.  I also sponged around the edges with Raspberry Ripple ink.  It's popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals, too.
  8. I discarded using a trio of anything under the greeting even though the sketch called for it.  Just made it too busy.
