Woohoo! Saturday was a GREAT mail day! I received a new publication magazine called Just Invitations (by Just Cards and Scott Publications) with a card of mine published inside! I wasn’t aware that they would be using it the Summer Vol 1 issue! I don’t think I’m breaking any rules by posting it here. I loved it when I made it for a challenge with Mary and Lisa and decided to mail it on to Just Cards for possible publication! It was just luck that they were publishing Just Invitations and my card matched!
I used the Summer Picnic designer paper and All in the Family stamp set. Stampin’ Up!’s onboard is the template to punch the circles out of the DSP, then I stamped the heads and party hats with Basic Black on the Whisper White that is layered behind the DSP. You’re Invited is from the Family Phrases stamp set and I stamped it in black on Bashful Blue and cut them out to fit in the circle. The images are colored with markers and the red striped ribbon is just wrapped around the circle and first layer of DSP. Overall size is 4×4.
The SECOND bit of news was that I received notice that I will be getting a check from Craft n Things magazine for the card that is published in this month’s magazine! Double Woohoo! That makes me VERY happy…more $$$ for rubbah or at least pay off my new Big Shot purchase from the last order! lol!
We had a nice time at the birthday party for my niece and nephew…both liked their cards and presents! My youngest son was able to join us, too!
I’m helping to get ready for a downline Round Up from Convention that my upline is hosting. Need to prepare a M&T for everyone and get my displays finished. We always have a FUN time getting together at these events!
