Time again for Stamping 411 sketch challenge! Another fun one this week! Here is the sketch:
And here is my card using Stampin' Up!'s new Create a Cupcake stamp set and Build a Cupcake punch! I love both these new products in the Occasions Mini!
I started with a base of Pink Pirouette and layered on the Real Red Patterns Designer Paper, using the Scallop Edge Punch along the bottom. I added a strip of the FABULOUS Glimmer Paper above the scallop and wrapped some Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon around and tied a knot.
For the focal image, I stamped two cupcake bottoms in Early Espresso and added a Real Red stamped bow. The frosting is Real Red with Early Espresso sprinkles. I punched them with the Build a Cupcake punch and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals on Whisper White cardstock. I punched the cherry from Red Glimmer Paper, too. I layered the Whisper White on Early Espresso cardstock.
Finally, I added a trio of the flower Itty Bitty punches from Red Glimmer paper and a Rhinestone Jewel in the center of each. I also stamped Happy Birthday from Create a Cupcake with Early Espresso in the upper right corner. I'd love to get a birthday card like this…how about you?
Check out what the rest of the Design Operators did this week over on Stamping 411!

This is just stunning!! I really love what you did with the cupcake punch.. Because I'm a little anal about crafting… it bugs me (just a little, okay alot) that the stamp set doesnt have scallops on the bottom of the frosting.. I love the way your frosting is above the line of the cupcake.. Does that make sense? I totally get it.. 😀 This just rocks… 😀

Your colours, images and layout works perfectly, I particularly like the way the scalloped border echoes the top of the cupcakes.

Some friends came over the other night and we made this card – it's adorable and even cuter in real life! I'm going to be posting it on my blog and will create a link back to your blog unless you have any objections. Let me know if you do and I will remove it. Thanks for your wonderful inspiration!
