Wow! Did you see that Stampin’ Up! placed the Hodgepodge Hardware on 25% off special this month (or while supplies last!) Hurry…email me to place your order for these before they run out. These are fun accents for cards and scrapbook pages! Check out my Specials page to see what comes in each kit.
Recently, I submitted two red/white/blue flower cards to Stampers’ Sampler. One card made it into the June/July 2008 magazine, this one did not. Maybe they didn’t look enough like flowers? I used two layers of the scallop punch from Real Red and cut to the center to make them into petals. The white center is one of the flowers from BoHo punch and the center is 1/2 circle punched from Brilliant Blue Faux Diamond Dust. For You is from the One of a Kind stamp set…I just punched it without the little flower.
I made the background by wetting Print Pattern and then coloring the stamp with my Brilliant Blue watercolor crayon. I lightly misted the paper and then stamped. It gives a very muted watercolor look! I used my Polka Dot background with Real Red on Whisper White and tied it with some retired Stampin’ Up! red/white/blue ribbon. I also punched the ticket corner around the corners (LOTS of punches on this card!)
Enjoy!
