Those that know me realize that I'm kind of on a poppy flower kick right now. I have some decorating my studio in my wall art, have made them in Punch Class and now turned the flowers in Everything Eleanor into poppy flowers! They look pretty real and they are so nice and vibrant…really cheer up my room! I still have a lot of decorating to do in there, but a little at a time so I can get exactly what I want!
This card uses Everything Eleanor stamp set. Now, I must admit I received this at Leadership and NEVER USED IT! Last week I was pretty desperate to use some NEW stuff and pulled it out. It is quickly becoming a favorite and I'm sure you'll see it a lot over the next few weeks!
I think this card as a clean look to it, although I wouldn't call it simple because of all the cutting! I started with the base card of Real Red. I layered on Basic Gray and then Whisper White. I stamped the fleur background in Old Olive on top of the Whisper White. On scrap paper, I stamped the Basic Gray medallion for the background and cut it out, then placed it partially on top of the Old Olive fleur. The piece hanging off, I trimmed off.
Then I stamped 4 of the larger flowers and one smaller flower with Basic Gray on Real Red, cut them out…layering two of the bigger ones together by just cutting out the center portion of two of the larger flowers (does that make sense??? lol!) The small flower is by itself. I layered them with Stampin' Dimensionals, then placed a Basic Black brad inside. They are also popped up on the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Maybe this photo has a better look:
Finally, I stamped the Itty Bitty Banner in Basic Gray on Old Olive cardstock, and used the Bitty Banner Framelit to cut it out. It is also popped up on the front. Love how this turned out!
