Today’s Bloggers’ Challenge is to create a Baby theme card! Funny…our cycle right now seems to be in Weddings with friends our boys’ ages getting married and relatives the same age. But, I’m sure we’ll quickly go from Wedding stage to Baby stage and this card will come in handy!
I’ve had the Cute & Cuddly set for a while, but other than doing the Card Kit, I haven’t used it much. I started out thinking that I would do a pink teddy bear, but then went in a different direction. I love the little bib image in this set and the greeting, "I’m kind of a BIG deal!"
I started by using the Nursery Letters Jumbo Wheel with Pretty in Pink ink over the Pretty in Pink cardstock. Instant designer paper, huh? Then I did take a strip of Tea Party Designer paper and layered it on Regal Rose cardstock. I stamped 3 of the bib images and punched them out with the 1 3/4 circle punch (perfect!) then cut out the neck piece and placed them on the DSP with dimensionals. I stamped the Big Deal greeting in Basic Black in the lower right corner. Finally I added 3 buttons from Sherbet Button Collection…love those different shapes! I did tie some Linen Thread in the center of each button. (I had ribbon on here and it was just too fussy, so I took it off!)
On a different note, I started a list of things I need to accomplish over the next few weeks! Oh my! I know I’ll be burning some midnight oil to get it all done!
