This week’s Blogger’s Challenge was to create a Patriotic card or Baby card. I chose to combine the Patriotic card with my need for a birthday card this weekend!
My Stamp Camp group last weekend sort of issued a challenge on what I would do with all the frames I had left from making purses with the Top Note Die. Luckily some were Bali Breeze, so I pulled one out. Western Sky (now retired) was always my go-to designer paper for Patriotic cards, so I pulled out a scrap of it and backed the Top Note Frame. The base card is Riding Hood Red. I was very pleased on how well Bali Breeze and Riding Hood Red went together with the Western Sky!
I stamped Outlined for Fun in Basic Black on Whisper White, then colored with my Ruby Red marker and Bali Breeze ink (with Blender Pen). Punched a lot of Riding Hood Red and Bali Breeze stars and applied them around the Happy Birthday center.
Nothing fancy, but I like how it turned out!
