Today is the Saturday Challenge for subscribers over on Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition! All subscribers who play along are entered into a drawing to win PRIZES at the end of the session! But, we also share the challenges on our blogs! This week's challenge is a Color Challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Real Red and Wild Wasabi! Looks like CHRISTMAS to me!
And, here is my card using those colors! A LOT going on with it!
I started with a base of Cherry Cobbler and layered on the Christmas Rose pattern from Holly Berry Designer Paper package. I cut a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock, ran it thru the Big Shot with the Snow Frost Impressions Folder and layered it on more Cherry Cobbler at an angle for the center of the card. I stamped the "Merry Christmas" greeting from Delightful Dozen in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla and punched with the XL Oval Punch. I layered it on an Oval from the Ovals #2 Die of Red Glimmer Paper. It is popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added the Wild Wasabi 1 1/4 Striped Ribbon tab behind the greeting and added a Holly Berry Designer Button on the front, tied with Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine. Finally, I inked up the Pines & Poinsettias image with my Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Markers on Very Vanilla, cut it out, the popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front panel. I added some tiny Pearl Jewels in the center of the Poinsettia.
Even though it has a lot going on, I think it is a pretty fancy looking card! Make sure to check out the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team members over on Create with Connie and Mary!
