Christmas Punch Favor

August 31, 2009 By Connie | Leave a Comment

Good morning!  It is the start of a new week!  Yesterday was our demo Convention Round Up meeting and we had tons of fun sharing the things we learned at Convention.  But…I was exhausted last night!  A full week of preparing display items, packing it up and then putting it out for display can really wear a gal out!  But…we had a wonderful time and it is always good to visit with my fellow stamping demos and gather all that creative energy.  As Shelli says, stamping IS about building relationships!  I’m so thankful for my stamping friends!

If you want to come with me to November’s Holiday meeting, join my team today!  It is the last day of the $85 Mini Kit Special.  Details are HERE.  And sign up HERE!  (You’ll need to email me for my passcode.)

Here is a little favor that I made to swap at Convention this year!  This was fun to make and just takes a few supplies, so it makes a great little party favor to place at someone’s dinner plate or as a small gift.  Isn’t that snowman the cutest?  It is from the Hostess Only Level 2 set, Christmas Punch.  I just cut him out away from the rest of the tag.

Holder Dimensions:  2 x 11, score at 1 1/2, 1 3/4, 6 3/4, 7.  The top flap comes down and it is closed with the ribbon.

Tip:  For a window, punch the circle hole with the 1 1/4" punch in the holder closer to the 7" scoreline.  Then make your wreath by punching the 1" circle and the Scallop Circle punch from coordinating cardstock.  The slightly larger hole makes fitting the wreath around the  circle in the holder much easier, especially if the holder circle is slightly off center.

Inside, I placed a small strip of Sticky Strip to secure my Bogdons Peppermint Sticks (find these at Costco or World Market).  I only used 2 sticks to hold down the cost for Convention swaps, but you could easily fit 4.  They peek thru the punch window so well!

Here is the rest of the deets!

Sets:  Christmas Punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
C/S: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Real Red
Inks:  Bashful Blue, Basic Black (Going Gray, Only Orange, Real Red markers)
Other:  1 1/4, 1 and Scallop Circle punches, Red Gingham ribbon, Sticky Strip

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 19 years and had my 18th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!
