We have another FUN challenge for you over at Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge…isn't this a FUN cake to use as your inspiration? Pick the colors, the stripes, the ruffled bow…whatever catches your fancy! Then make your creation and post it over on Create with Connie and Mary! We love to see what you do!
I chose to use the stripes and colors for my inspiration. I went with a soft Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla color scheme, along with Pear Pizzazz for some accents!
The base of the card is Baja Breeze and I layered on Very Vanilla. I pulled the colors from the Elegant Soiree Designer Paper and used the stripe pattern. I added a Scallop Trim Border along the bottom of the DSP in Pear Pizzazz. I made my double bow from the Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon and hid the top of the DSP seam. I stamped the Birthday Wishes from Stampin' Up!'s fun new greeting set, Bring on the Cake, in Baja Breeze Classic Ink.
I made the flowers with the Fun Flower Bigz Large Die from Very Vanilla and then ran it thru the Big Shot again with the Finial Press Impressions Folder. I lightly sponged Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink around the edges of each petal. In the center, I cut the Baja Breeze circle from the same die and embossed it, too. Then added a In Color Flower Brad to the center with a Rhinestone Jewel. LOVE the neutral look of the flower!
Make sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team did this week with the Cake Inspiration…then play along! Upload your card to Create!
