Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for October is Happy Harvest! Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!
AUTUMN EXPRESSIONS
I love the fall decor using teals and purples! I was inspired by a print I saw at the store to make this card in those colors with some Gray Granite!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The front of the base card was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
- A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was randomly stamped with the leaf from Autumn Expressions stamp set in Lost Lagoon Ink. It was added to the front towards the top.
- The greeting from Autumn Expressions was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the center frame piece from the Autumn Expressions Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two leaves were cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut with the Dies.
- Two leaves were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Blackberry Bliss using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
- The tree ring was stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Gray Granite cardstock and colored with the Gray Granite Ink using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
- Two leaf fronds were cut from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Dies.
- Everything was assembled next to the greeting label and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Silver Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background and leaf.
- Some Silver Trim (Clearance Rack) was tied in a bow and added to the top leaf.
