Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Celebrate Holidays”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in November using that theme!
WINDOW WISHES
I resisted buying this Window Wishes bundle for the longest time, but then decided I just HAD to have it! Here’s one of the cards I made while playing with it.
Stampin’ Details:
- Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Santa Express Designer Paper was added on top.
- Over that is a 2 x 4 piece of Real Red Glimmer Paper.
- On top of the Glimmer Paper is a 3/4 x 4 strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock.
- The window frame was cut from Basic Gray cardstock with the Window Dies.
- The inside of the window was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Window Dies and stamped the house from Window Wishes stamp set in Real Red Ink, the trees in Shaded Spruce Ink, the roof with Smoky Slate Ink, the ground and snowflakes with Pool Party Ink.
- The little red heart from Handmade Wishes stamp set was stamped with Real Red above the chimney.
- The greeting from Window Wishes stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray Ink.
- The window element was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The bow from Window Dies was cut from Real Red Glimmer Paper and attached with a Mini Glue Dot.
That’s it for my Creatively Simply card! What excited me most about this card is that it was made up of pieces already cut and stamped! I just put them together differently that I originally intended! Make sure to check out Mary’s Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary!
