CS160 – Winterly Tree Tops

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”. I love these little Bird’s Eye View birds so had to use it for the last Feathered Friends card this month!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS & BIRD’S EYE VIEW

I matched the little birdie with two of the greenery swags from Winterly Tree Tops to make this card…turned out SO cute!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Iconic Celebrations 6×6 Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added to the right side of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock.
Happy Holidays from Throughout the Year (Online) was stamped with Real Red Ink towards the bottom.
Two swags from Winterly Tree Tops were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Real Red Stampin Blends. They were cut withe Winterly Tree Tops Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The little birdie from Bird’s Eye View was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Smoky Slate and Real Red Stampin’ Blends. He was hand-cut and added to the bottom swag.
A Real Red single berry was added to the top and the bottom stamped berries.

IM310 – Sending Cheer

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a holiday gingerbread decorated cake to inspired you!

SENDING CHEER

Stampin’ Up!’s Sending Cheer Bundle is one of my favorites! Although the dies cut as tags, it is SO easy to snip off the tag part and use just the image like I did with the gingerbread man here!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock was stamped with the two sizes of snowflakes from Beary Cute Stamp Set with White Craft Ink. Let dry.
- The 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Scalloped Contour Dies and added to the top of the Poppy Parade. It was stamped with the greeting from Sending Cheer in Poppy Parade Ink.
- The gingerbread was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White, the face with Memento Black, and cut with the Sending Cheer Dies, the tag at the top was cut off, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A cookie was cut with a 1/2″ circle and stamped with the berry image in Sending Cheer in Early Espresso Ink for the “chocolate chips”. It was added to her hand with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
- The bow was cut from Poppy Parade cardstock with the Sending Cheer Die and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
- A trio of Loose Holly Gems & Sequins were added to the background.

IM301 – Pick of the Patch

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a beautiful fall cake for our inspiration today!

PICK OF THE PATCH

I love the barrels of leaves and pumpkins in the inspiration cake and wondered how I could recreate that look! I found the fence in the Bag of Bones Dies and used a couple of them on my card!

Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Early Espresso cardstock was added on top.
- A 3/4 x 3-7/8 piece of All About Autumn DSP was added to the bottom of a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
- Two fences were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Bag of Bones Die. They were adhered together overlapping one of the posts. The SU100 Stampin’ Blends was used to color the banding along the top and bottom of the fence. It was adhered to the Very Vanilla just tucking the bottoms of the posts under the DSP.
- The large pumpkin was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink and the smaller pumpkin with Cajun Craze Ink, the leaves with Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry Inks, the stems with Garden Green Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. They were punched with the Pick of the Patch Punch or hand-cut as needed and assembled below the fence with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Libby Fens 2023

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using stamps/bundles from the September-December Mini Catalog!

This week we are “Casing Libby Fens”! Here’s her Halloween card that I chose to CASE.

BAG OF BONES

Super easy…I just replaced the images Libby used with the new Bag of Bones bundle for my Halloween card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Parakeet Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added to the front.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was punched twice with the 2″ Circle Punch, then embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skeleton was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink on Smoky Slate cardstock and cut with the Bag of Bones Dies. They were added inside the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals
The bats were cut with the Dies from Basic Black cardstock and adhered to the front.
Two black Classic Mat Dots were added to the front.
Boo to you was stamped with Memento Black on Parakeet Party cardstock, then cut with a flag end and adhered.

CCMC787 – Autumn Leaves

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to try.

AUTUMN LEAVES

The All About Autumn Designer Paper has been on backorder for a while, so time to get creative with other DSP that IS available! Love this ticking pattern DSP…can you guess what DSP package it is from? Stamping on it gave me the fall look I was wanting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path c/s is embossed with the Falling Leaf Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive).
A 3 x 3 piece of Let’s Go Fishing DSP is added as a diamond shape in the center.
The DSP was stamped with “rock and roll” leaves inked with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for a two-tone look randomly in the background. Two extra sets of leaves were stamped the same on scrap Very Vanilla and cut with the Autumn Leaves Die.
The 3/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Pumpkin Pie is cut with the Autumn Leaves die for a cool stitched look.
The greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, then cut with the label Autumn Leaves Die.
The strip was adhered to the front with the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Crumb Cake Speckled Dots were added to the leaf, label and background.

CS109 – Pick of the Patch

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Fall cards!

PICK OF THE PATCH

This one came together really quickly! I’ve been wanting to do a stack of pumpkins!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, score at 5-1/2 and fold to form base card.
Adhere a 2 x 5-1/4 strip o All About Autumn Designer Paper to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake, then add to front of base card.
Cut a Scallop Rectangle with die from Basic White cardstock, add to front on an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On Basic White, stamp large pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie Ink, medium with Cajun Craze Ink, and small pumpkin with Crushed Curry Ink on top of each other. Stamp vine and leave with Old Olive Ink, stem with Pecan Pie Ink. Hand cut all and add to front of Scallop Rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp “blessings” with Memento Black Ink on scrap Pecan Pie cardstock, hand-cut around and add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add three Speckled Adhesive Backed Dots to background and leaf.

CS108 – Sending Cheer

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Monochromatic cards!

SENDING CHEER

Another card that I pulled together with pieces sitting on my desk! I love this Santa Hat Die in Sending Cheer!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
A 2 x 4 strip of Merry Bold & Bright DSP was added towards the left side.
The tag from Sending Cheer Dies was cut from Basic Black cardstock and tied with Sweet Sorbet In Color Baker’s Twine in a bow.
Santa was Here from Merry & Bright stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on 1 x 1-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock. I hand snipped the corners to angle them and adhered to the Basic Black tag. The tag was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Santa’s hat was cut from Poppy Parade cardstock and the trim and pom-pom from Basic White. Wink of Stella was used on the trim and pom-pom. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins were added to the background.

IM299 – Rustic Crate

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have some autumn felt ornaments to inspire you!

RUSTIC CRATE

I wanted to focus on the sunflowers and pumpkins, so pulled out my Rustic Crate bundle!

Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
- A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Glorious Gingham was added to the left side of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, then added to the base card.
- The pumpkin/sunflower image was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Cajun Craze Combo, Old Olive Combo, SU200, Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Rustic Crate Die.
- The crate was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Pecan Pie cardstock and cut with the die. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving a little bit of space between them.
- The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla and ends cut at an angle, it was added between the two images.
- A trio of green Adhesive Backed Speckled Dots were added to the background.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the edge of the greeting.
