I decided to participate in the SUDSOL challenge this week. The theme is notebooks. Well, I love unusual sized notebooks. This was one I made for Convention last year and also used it at Leadership this year. It is now FULL! I'll have to make up another one! It has held up really well, though!
I started with a base rectangle notebook and added Stampin' Up!'s Tall Tales Designer Paper in the floral print to the front and back. I didn't worry about the spirals. I took my colors from the paper and made my flower from the Flower Layers Die with So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Brilliant Blue and leaves from Build A Flower Sizzlet in Old Olive. I ran each of the pieces thru the Big Shot again with the Finial Press Texture Impressions Folder. LOVE the texture it puts on the petals! I put the layers together and adhered to Whisper White, then used the small Chocolate Corduroy Buttom Brad in the center. Then it was layered on Melon Mambo and the Melon Mambo Polka Dot Ribbon tied around it. I also added some strips of ribbon to a few of the spirals.
Love the fun colors and it did get LOTS of notice! Pretty fun to make, too!
LOTS to do today! I have my Stamp Clubs meeting tomorrow night and need to prep for them! Have a great day!
