For the Birds

This little bird set is SO cute…I couldn't wait to add it to my list of stamp sets I HAD to have! This stamp image, in particular, really caught my eye!

I started with a base of Gumball Green and layered on Very Vanilla that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Petals A Plenty folder. I added a strip of Designer Paper from Be of Good Cheer and layered on Cherry Cobbler across the front.

I cut the Apothecary Accents decor piece from Crumb Cake and stamped the For the Birds Christmas image with Black Stazon. I colored with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Makers. I pierced around the edges with the new Piercing Templates. Then I added two small stars…it's a SNEAK PEEK from the new Holiday Mini! Yes, we have a mini star back in the lineup! Hooray!

I thought it needed just a little something more, so I added a trio of flags underneath the top layer using scraps of the Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 23 years and just had my 22nd Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes!
