Happy Hour

I needed a card…quick…for a wedding we attended last weekend.  I grabbed Happy Hour stamp set because it was sitting out on my desk from working on the project for Create with Connie and Mary New Catalog 2012 Edition (which came out really cute, I might add!  lol!)  I'm also thinking about doing up a version of this for some swap cards at Convention…we'll see.  I'm in really good shape this year!  I guess the extra time we've had with the new catalog helped me prepare my swaps better!

 

I started with a base of Basic Gray.  I ran the Whisper White layer thru the Big Shot with the Chevron folder (love it!)  I added a strip of Daffodil Delight and a strip of Basic Gray cut with the new Finishing Touches Edgelit.  I stamped the two glasses first in Basic Gray on Whisper White and cut with the Circles #2 Die, then stamped with Daffodil Delight and cut the Daffodil Delight ones out to adhere over the Basic Gray liquids.  The circle is layered on the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle.  I added a couple rhinestones for some bling.  Then I added the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Gray on Daffodil Delight cardstock.

 

Funny story.  I realized the next morning that I hadn't SIGNED the card before putting it with the gift and taking it to the reception!  Luckily the groom's mother figured out it must be mine and called me to make sure!  I've never done that before…we laughed and talked about getting old and forgetting things now!  lol!
