SEE THE LAST CHANCE UPDATES AND RETIRED LISTS HERE!
I was disappointed to see this It’s A Sign stamp set on the discontinued list! I had always meant to pull together a Teen Stamp Camp using this set! I love all the signs in it to make cards…and teenagers are so hard to come up with ideas for cards that seem age appropriate. They appreciate this set, too!
Here’s one using It’s A Sign that I have in mind for a cousin’s birthday card. It showcases Crystal Effects and the Mojo Monday Sketch from last week!
This card is pretty easy. I started with Pacific Point cardstock for the base card. I ran the Riding Hood Red layer thru the Big Shot with the Textured weave plate and layered it on the Pacific Point. I also used some Pacific Point Patterns Designer Paper across the bottom and hid the seam with Whisper White grosgrain ribbon. The two background strips were also Pacific Point Patterns DSP and I added Mini Brads (silver covered with White Embossing Powder to change the color!) in each corner. I stamped the You’re #1 sign with Pacific Point and Riding Hood Red on Glossy White and cut it out. Finally, I added a light layer of Crystal Effects over the top to make it glassy!
This is only ONE way to use Crystal Effects. Check out Stamping 411 for some additional samples and ideas on How To Use Crystal Effects as well as some cautions. And make sure to check out Selene Kempton’s printable Inspiration Sheet on using Crystal Effects! It is wonderful!
The materialsI used on this card are In Colors and on the retiring Last Chance list! Call me to order yours today before they sell out! Only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!
Tonight’s my Technique Class…better go get things finished up for that! Have a great day!
