In celebration of college football starting this past weekend, I thought I’d show you the Stampin’ Up! Look Here XL Bigz die card I made for my nephew’s birthday a couple weeks ago. He is obviously a huge Ohio State University fan! I found the Buckeye Leaf and Nut die and the Block O die at my local scrapbook store.
I started with a base of Going Gray cardstock and layered the bottom with the red check pattern from Jackpot Designer Paper. I used a strip of black cardstock to hide the seam. I used Real Red, Basic Black, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel in the dies and adhered them to a piece of Whisper White and layered that onto Basic Black.
Inside, I ran a piece of Real Red thru the Big Shot with my Look Here XL Bigz Die. I left it pretty plain, other than adding another Buckeye leaf and Nut to the lower left corner and had the arrow pointing to Happy Birthday greeting. I’m sure he was more interested in the gift card that was inside it anyway! This die is SO much fun and gets a huge WOW when they open it up! Makes even a gift card look extra special!
I hope you have a great Labor Day. We are headed to the Lake if it stops raining. I think it is supposed to blow thru pretty quickly.

As an OSU fan living in Germany, let me just say how absolutely awesome this card is! I have a stampin buddy living across the street who is a wolverine fan. Every November we all get together and battle it out over the Ohio State Michigan game. I wish I had a LSS here who carried these dies. I would love to use this idea to decorate for the game! Thanks so much for sharing.
