I thought my room would be "temporarily" back together by last night, but we needed to let the floor sit for 24 hours before walking on it or placing anything on it. I must say it looks FABULOUS!!! I am SO very happy with the floor I chose…and I absolutely cannot wait to see the cabinets with it! Soon! I miss my creative spot and my blog has suffered from not having access to my supplies! It is all I can do to keep up with classes I've scheduled!
However, I joined a one-on-one challenge to come up with a card using only neutrals to send off to my partner! I hope Toni isn't reading this…it will go in the mail today…so I thought I'd show you now! Mixed Bunch is my absolute FAVORITE in the Occasions Mini…and I have gotten a lot of mileage off using it! Combined with the neutral tones in Mocha Morning Designer Paper…wow! So much texture (which fits the LNS challenge this week, too!)
I started with a base of Crumb Cake cardstock. I layered on Very Vanilla that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I used the Pennant Die to cut the triangle of Mocha Morning DSP, then added Basic Black cardstock that was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch along each side. I also cut a Basic Black medallion from the Pennant Die for the background of my flower. The flower is stamped with Basic Black on Very Vanilla and punched with the Blossoms Punch. The center was stamped with Basic Black on Crumb Cake and punched with the 3/4" Circle. All the layers on top of the Very Vanilla background are popped up, so there is LOTS of height! I stamped friend from Fabulous Phrases in Basic Black on Very Vanilla and trimmed the end as a flag, then tucked it behind the center of the flower. In the center, I placed a small pearl…AND…do you see all those TINY pearls in between each of the scallops on the side! Wow! LOVE how those turned out…it really dresses up the card!
Hmmm, I really don't want to send this card off! Maybe I should make another one for ME to keep! lol!
