My girlfriend called to tell me this card is in the current March 2009 issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts magazine!  I finally got to see it over the weekend…but I still haven’t received my free magazine.  Guess I need to call them.  I sent this card in at least two years ago…notice the retired In-Colors and stamp set, Bundle of Joy!  lol!  But, I’m glad they finally picked it up and used it.  I remember I made this card at one of my weekend stamping retreats.

First I stamped the bear from Bundle of Joy three times on Watercolor paper and colored them with Chocolate Chip,  Barely Banana and Bashful Blue watercolor crayons (with AquaPainter).  Then cut them out.  The base of the card is River Rock, with a layer of Chocolate Chip, then another layer of Soft Sky that has been stamped with the Flannel Background stamp in Whisper White Craft Ink (really hard to see in this scan!)  Then I cut a strip of Wild Wasabi cardstock and cut slits for grass, then wrapped a length of Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon around it and knotted (the color looks off here…)  I added the Bears in a pyramid formation, popped up with dimensionals.  I cut a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock for the banner stick, then stamped Happy New Baby for the pennant and cut some Barely Banana cardstock for the pennant fringe.

Oh well, even though it is a couple years old, I still think it is a CUTE card!  Wish I still had that set, but sold it off and wish I hadn’t now…lol!

So…if you get the magazine and see my card, drop me a comment here!  Thanks!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 19 years and had my 18th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!
