It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

This week we are “Casing Libby Fens”!

BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES

This is one of the stamp sets I picked up for FREE during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-A-Bration sale last month!  It’s in the Annual Catalog, so I grabbed it when I could.  It worked out perfectly for today’s Case the Designer challenge!  I chose Libby’s cute card with the Yellow Submarine and changed it using these current products!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Summer Splash cardstock was stamped with Summer Splash Ink along the bottom with the “wing”, so it looked like flowers.  The layer was added to the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The large butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies stamp set was stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The greeting from Beautiful Butterflies was stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Meant to Bee Die and trimmed half of if off.  It was adhered to the top.
• The blue gems from the Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the body and under the greeting.
