Saturday Blog Hop – You’ve Been Boo’d

October 14, 2017 By Connie | 5 Comments

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “You’ve Been Boo’d” this week…cards that have the word “Boo” on them!  I used the stamp set Seasonal Chums and did some jack-o-lantern coloring for the “o”s.  What do you think?

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Spooky Nights Designer Paper was placed at the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Smoky Slate cardstock.
  • The pumpkins from Seasonal Chums stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink, the colored with the new Stampin’ Blends markers (coming soon!).  They were cut with the Seasonal Tags Framelit and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The letter B and ! point were cut from Basic Black cardstock with the Large Letters Framelits and also popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • In the corners, the spider webs were cut with the Seasonal Tags Framelit from Basic Black and adhered with Multipurpose Glue.
  • A few Black Rhinestones were added to the background.

I can’t wait to see what the Design Team did with the challenge this week!  Next up is our Create website to find out more about our October Mini Session, then onto Mary Brown or go backwards to visit Melissa Davies!

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 20 years and will have my 19th year Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May. I love being part of something that sparks my creativity and hear people comment, "you MADE this?" I also enjoy sharing that passion with others in my classes! If you live anywhere in the Delaware, Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Hilliard or surrounding Columbus, Ohio areas, join us! I love to meet new stamping friends. Email me for a current class schedule... I'm adding new classes all the time!

Such a briliant idea for a Halloween card. I like that is not too scary as I was looking for an inspiration for a card for my little nephew. Thank you.

Connie, I thought you might want to know that Firefox is preventing me from viewing the posts from Melissa Davies and rubberfunatics. Both blogs use blogspot. My husband, who spent his entire career with computers, says the problem is with blogspot, not Firefox. As a result, I cannot go forward or backward to view Saturday’s blog posts, and I cannot leave a comment on those two blogs regarding the problem.

Hi Donna…I checked on both my computer and iphone and am getting thru the blog hop without a problem. I did notice that Melissa/Rubberfunatics (same person), does not require a www before her blog name…so try removing that to get thru.
