Time again for this week's Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge! I really liked this one…I had fun pulling out a set I haven't used in a long while, Stampin' Up!'s Fifth Avenue Floral. Definitely still wishing for spring, here…even with a major snowstorm bearing down on us again! Although, from what I hear, the east coast is getting hit even harder!
I started with a base of Cameo Coral and layered on Stampin' Up!'s Kaleidoscope Designer Paper. Love the bright colors in this paper! I stamped on the left hand side of Whisper White cardstock with the Fifth Avenue Floral flower and Cameo Coral Ink. I burnished the inside with So Saffron Ink. I used an AquaPainter and Cameo Coral Watercolor Crayon to color in the petals of the flowers. I stamped an extra one on scrap Whisper White, colored it the same, and cut it out. This was layered onto Certainly Celery cardstock.
I added Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon across the front, the 1/4 Apricot Appeal Grosgrain Ribbon over top of it. I used my Piercing Tool and Mat to make a double row of stitches across the right side. I placed the cut-out flower with Stampin' Dimensionals over top of the background flowers. Then punched the Kaleidoscope Designer Paper with my 5 Petal Punch, and cut it up for some leaves. They were placed under the flower with Dimensionals, too. Finally, I stamped Thank You from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Brown on Cameo Coral and punched it with the Curly Label punch. I slid it under the focal element.
I love how this turned out and it really was very quick to put together! Make sure to check out the rest of the Stamping 411 Design Operators to see what they have done this week! Then play along by making your own card from the sketch and uploading the photo to Mr. Linky on the Stamping 411 blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
