Time for another sketch challenge from Stamping 411! This week it is a fun one, hope you join us by playing along!
I'm trying to use up my Designer Paper before the NEW catalog comes out and I want to buy more! My card uses the designs from Blueberry Crisp…I thought they had a nice tropical feel to them that went along with the Summer Splash stamp set.
So, I started with the striped dots in the Blueberry Crisp Designer Paper package. I felt they had a "bubbles" type feeling to them that went along with my beach theme. I layered on another Not Quite Navy pattern in the same package using the Tasteful Trim Die to make my scallops look like waves. I wrapped around the Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon and made a BIG bow…using the Daffodil Delight button in the center, tied with Bakers Twine. The DSP is layered on Not Quite Navy cardstock and then a base card of Sahara Sand.
For the focal element, I stamped the sand bucket and shovel with Not Quite Navy on Very Vanilla and another one stamped with Daffodil Delight and cut out the shovel to adhere over the Not Quite Navy one. I stamped Wish Big from Warm Wishes in Not Quite Navy under it for the greeting. I punched out the Very Vanilla with the 1 3/4 Circle Punch, then layered it on a 2 3/8 Scallop Circle from Daffodil Delight. I added a little Rhinestone Jewel to the bucket for some bling. It is popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals!
Make sure to check out what the rest of the Design Operators did this week over on Stamping 411. See you there!
