Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Stampin’ Addicts Blog Hop over the past few days. I hope you got lots of great ideas. BUT…stay tuned! I’m participating in the Tour de Freaks Blog Hop on Saturday, June 20th! Many of the Control Freak Swappers are participating. (If you haven’t heard of this group, it is a very talented group of swappers…I love getting my swap cards back in the mail from our swap mom, Lisa!) The tour will also feature Last Chance Retiring Stamp Sets, so you’ll get even MORE ideas!

For this card, I used the Mojo Monday 91 Sketch for my inspiration! I like these long cards…I think they add a lot of impact! I also wanted to show the more feminine side of this stamp set, Thoughts of Father, which is retiring at the end of the month.

I started with a base of So Saffron and added the stripe and brocade papers from Bella Birds Designer Paper layered on top. I really think this is one of my favorites in the retiring Designer Papers. I wrapped some So Saffron 5/8 grosgrain ribbon around the seam to hide it (this ribbon was part of the Sale-A-Bration bundle this year.) Then I added a panel of Bordering Blue layered on Chocolate Chip and stamped the Watering Can image in Chocolate Chip Craft Ink on Shimmer White paper and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used my markers and AquaPainter to color the image! I layered this on Chocolate Chip Cardstock, too, and raised it up with dimensionals. Finally, I stamped Best Wishes from Oval All onto Shimmer White cardstock, punched it with the Large Oval punch and layered it on a So Saffron Scallop Oval punch. Then I added a Chocolate Chip corduroy button that I tied with a skinny strip of So Saffron Cardstock.

I love stamping cards, altering 3D items and making little favors. I've been stamping for over 23 years and just had my 22nd Stampin' Up! anniversary in early May.
