Hmmm, take 2! I had my whole post written, went to Save Draft and LOST the entire post! Don’t know WHAT happened, but here I am trying again!
Today’s Bloggers Challenge was to create a birthday theme card. I pulled out my brand new, Goody Goody Gumdrops stamp set. Of course, it needed to be mounted first. I love the Sundae image. I started by stamping the little cherry in Basic Black randomly over a strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock and coloring in the image with Real Red. I layered that over Real Red and added the Eyelet Border punch with a strip of Whisper White. I stamped the Sundae in Basic Black on Whisper White and colored it with Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink and Real Red markers, then added some Dazzling Diamonds to the ice cream and Crystal Effects to the cherry. Layered it to Basic Black and Real Red cardstock. I added some piercing to the top corners, added the greeting and it is ready to go. A fairly simple card with lots of FUN elements. Oh…and did you notice the new Organza ribbon…it is sheer with a satin stripe…YUM! Love it!
We are continuing with COLD weather here…I am so DONE with winter! Come on SPRING!!! I think I’ll head to my studio today and make up some spring cards to help warm me up! Have a great weekend!
