Today at Convention is more classes this morning and then we will do our Make & Takes this afternoon! Always a fun day, although I always feel RUSHED to get my stuff done! I do better at my own pace, I guess. I’ve never run out of time getting anything finished, so I don’t know why I panic!
Today’s Bloggers’ Challenge was to use the color combination of Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and a neutral. Actually, I really like this combo, although I had my reservations when I first heard it! The Soft Suede is acting as a neutral.
I stamped the Flower Fancy two-step flower with Crushed Curry and cut it out. I stamped the leaves in Old Olive and cut them out. I added a kiwi Kiss Corduroy Button in the center (it is so close to Old Olive that I didn’t think it would be cheating!). The base card is Soft Suede and I stamped the background Medallion stamp with Soft Suede in the upper right corner for a tone-on-tone look. The flower is layered onto the center with Dimensionals.
I used a strip of Thoroughly Modern Designer Paper across the bottom and wrapped some Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon around it. Finally, Thinking of You, from Teeny Tiny Wishes is stamped with Basic Black on Crushed Curry and punched with the Modern Tag Punch. I added two little non-Stampin’ Up! Rhinestone Flowers on each edge for a little sparkle!
